A practical savings guide for shoppers using IngramSpark offers.
IngramSpark does not publish a promo code on its site, and the setup fees that older codes used to waive are gone. The pricing page says it costs nothing to sign up for an account and to upload your print book or ebook. You pay for printing when copies are ordered, and IngramSpark's calculators show the print and shipping cost and what you earn on each sale.
IngramSpark's own examples: a 200 page black and white 6 x 9 inch paperback costs $4.17 per book for up to 99 copies and $3.54 at 1,000 to 1,499 copies. An 8 x 11 inch paperback of the same length is $5.52 per copy, and a 5.5 x 8.5 inch hardcover is $7.95, falling to $6.76 at 1,000 copies. Ebook conversion from a print file costs $0.60 per page.
When you enable distribution, IngramSpark sends your book's metadata to its network of retailers and libraries, and books usually appear on retailer sites within 2 to 6 weeks. IngramSpark is not exclusive, so you can also publish elsewhere. Promotion services include Title Discovery and curated lists sent to booksellers and librarians, and Share & Sell links let you sell from your own website or social accounts.
