A practical savings guide for shoppers using The Whisky Barrel offers.
The Whisky Barrel does not publish a discount code. Its FAQ answers the question directly: it cannot offer discounts on alcohol sales because of strict licensing laws in Scotland. None of the products in its catalogue carry a reduced or crossed out price today. The ways to spend less are free UK shipping above £150 and the lower priced collections below.
UK orders usually arrive in 2 to 3 working days, and next working day delivery costs £9.95 when you order by 1 PM on a weekday. US orders include FDA taxes and duties and normally take 4 to 10 working days; some states are not served. Canada takes 3 to 5 working days (no deliveries to Quebec or Ontario), Europe 2 to 7 working days and Asia Pacific and Africa 3 to 7 working days. Outside the UK and US, the recipient pays local import duties. Every order ships tracked in glass safe packaging, and a hand wrapped gift service with a personal message can be added on the product page.
The range covers single malt, blended and single grain Scotch, independent bottlers such as Signatory Vintage, Murray McDavid, Hart Brothers and Lady of the Glen, aged whisky from 18 to 50 years, vintages from the 1960s onward, and old and rare bottles. The shop also stocks rum, gin and spirits, sells eGift cards and offers a gift finder sorted by age and price.
