About Amelia Brooks
Background, focus areas, and how this expert approaches savings content.
Amelia Brooks edits home and interiors coverage at SavingArena, taking in furniture, soft furnishings, bedding, appliances and the wider improvement categories. Home is the department where the advertised price is furthest from the price paid, because delivery, assembly, installation and removal of the old item all arrive later in the checkout.
She works those costs into every comparison, and pays close attention to lead times, which stretch to months on made to order furniture. On appliances she looks at the energy rating as a running cost rather than a label, since a cheaper machine that draws more power can cost more across the years anyone keeps one.
