Setapp Promo Code, Student Discount and Plan Prices

Is there a Setapp promo code?

Not a public one. Setapp's own help pages say promo codes are only for new users and usually come from bloggers or Setapp's marketing team. A code can take money off the first payment, extend the free trial, or both. You enter it on the redeem page at account.setapp.com/redeem before you create your account, rather than at checkout. The savings that anyone can use come from the way you pay and who you are, and they are listed below.

Setapp prices

On 24 October 2026 the pricing page listed three main plans, all plus tax. The Mac plan for 1 Mac is $14.99 a month, or $8.99 a month when billed yearly at $107.88. The Mac + iOS plan for 1 Mac and 4 iPhones or iPads is $18.99 a month, or $11.24 a month billed yearly at $134.88. The Power User plan for 4 Macs and 4 iOS devices is $22.99 a month, or $13.49 a month billed yearly. The Mac plans include 1,000 AI credits and Power User includes 2,000. Two AI+ plans add more credits: AI Enthusiast at $22.99 a month or $13.49 billed yearly, and AI Expert at $35.99 a month or $21.59 billed yearly.

The education discount brings the Mac + iOS annual plan down to $107.88 a year. Setapp applies it on its own when you register with an email on a domain such as .edu, .ac.uk or .sch.uk, and it says it can switch the plan for you if your school's domain is not recognised.

Shipping, returns and payment

Setapp is software, so nothing ships: you download the Setapp app on your Mac and install the apps from inside it. A payment method is needed to start the free trial, and the first charge comes after 7 days. Memberships renew on their own at the current rate, and Setapp's terms ask you to cancel in your account settings at least 24 hours before the trial or billing period ends. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. The terms say a cancelled subscription is not refunded for the unused part of the period, and that AI credits cannot be refunded. Other refund cases are covered by Setapp's refund policy page, so read it before you choose a yearly plan. Payments are taken by third-party payment processors, and the accepted methods show at checkout.

How to save at Setapp

Try the plan you want during the 7-day trial, then switch to yearly billing if you plan to keep it, since the monthly price is the highest way to pay. Students and teachers should sign up with their school email to get the 20% education price. If someone gives you a promo code, redeem it before creating your account, because codes only work for new users.
