A practical savings guide for shoppers using Codeyoung US offers.
Codeyoung does not show a promo code or seasonal discount on its site at the moment. The way to try it at no cost is the free one-to-one trial class, where a mentor also assesses the child's level before any package is bought.
The home page says classes start at $22 per class. Classes are sold in bundles of 48, 96 or 144 sessions; the checkout page does not list each bundle's total, so ask for the price of the bundle size you want before paying. Each class is live with one child and one mentor, usually about an hour long, two to four times a week. The Sandbox learning platform costs $60 a year on its own, comes free with online courses, and has a 15 day free trial.
Subjects are coding, math, English, science, robotics and financial literacy. Coding covers Scratch, MIT App Inventor, web development, app development, Python and AI and machine learning, and Codeyoung says most kids can start coding at around age 5 or 6 with block-based tools. Questions about refunds and rescheduling go to support@codeyoung.com; check those terms before you buy a bundle.
