A practical savings guide for shoppers using Online Art Lessons offers.
Online Art Lessons does not publish a public promo code on its site at the moment. The checkout has a coupon box, so a code from the site's own emails can be entered there. The clearest saving the site shows is in the choice of plan: the early bird lifetime membership is a single $197 payment with no renewals.
Members get the full library of more than 370 video class projects, from beginner to advanced, plus a set of longer courses and free form tutorials. Subjects include oil, acrylic and watercolour painting, pencil and pastel drawing, and pen and ink, with projects such as landscapes, flowers, animals and portraits. Lessons can be watched as often as you like, there are downloadable reference images and templates, and the home page says subtitles are now available in English, French and Spanish. A forum lets members share their work and ask for feedback.
All prices on the site are in US$. The monthly plan renews automatically every month and is cancelled from the Profile page; it cannot be paused, but you can rejoin later. Yearly and lifetime plans are single payments with nothing to stop. The membership page states a 30 day money back guarantee, so read the site's terms and conditions page for how to ask for it before you join. The site also mentions a sister shop, Paint Basket, where single classes are sold one at a time.
Pick the plan that fits how long you expect to paint. If you plan to keep going for more than a year, compare the $197 lifetime price with the $149 yearly fee before you join. If you only want a few lessons, start with one month at $19 and cancel from your profile when you are done.
