Best Buy's 2026 holiday sale calendar

Best Buy Black Friday 2026 is not one day but a run of sales. Best Buy's own holiday calendar, published on 27 October, starts with DoorBOOsters on 30 October, adds Early Black Friday Deals and Doorbusters every Friday from 6 November, and then gives 10 days of Black Friday Doorbusters and Deals from Thursday 19 November. Black Friday itself is Friday 27 November, and Best Buy stores are closed on Thanksgiving Day, 26 November.

This table holds only the dates Best Buy has published. Where it has not given a date, the table says so.

How Best Buy's Doorbusters work this season

A Doorbuster at Best Buy is a sharp price on a single product, sold for a short time and in limited quantities. On its DoorBOOsters banner Best Buy spelled out the terms: limited quantities and no rainchecks, so once an item sells out at that price, the store will not hold the price for you.

• When new ones appear: Best Buy says new Early Black Friday deals drop every Friday from 6 November, which means 6 and 13 November before the 10-day Black Friday event begins on Thursday 19 November.
• Online or in store: on its Black Friday page Best Buy says most of its Black Friday deals can be bought both online and in store, and that a small handful each year are only for shoppers in a physical store.
• Prices change through the week: a Doorbuster price is tied to its own dates. Check the end date on the product page before you assume it will still be there at the weekend.

One rule is easy to miss. Best Buy's price match terms list items "advertised as limited quantity" among the offers it does not match, whether the offer is Best Buy's or a competitor's. So if a product you already bought later appears as a limited-quantity Doorbuster, ask Best Buy before you count on getting the difference back.

Is Best Buy open on Thanksgiving? Store hours for Black Friday

No. Best Buy says its stores will be closed on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday 26 November 2026. You can still shop its deals that day in the Best Buy app and on BestBuy.com.

Best Buy has not published a Black Friday opening time for 2026. What it has said is that stores move to extended hours from 1 November, and that each store's updated hours appear on its local store page. Some websites already print a 2026 opening time; Best Buy itself had not, when we read its pages on 31 October, so check your own store's page in the week of Black Friday.

My Best Buy Plus and Total: double rewards and longer returns

Best Buy's two paid memberships, My Best Buy Plus and My Best Buy Total, get two extras this season.

• Double rewards, 19 November to 6 December: members earn 2% back in rewards on qualifying purchases, which includes the 1% they normally get. You must have an active My Best Buy account and be signed in before you buy. The points post 2 to 3 weeks after the purchase, shipment or delivery date.
• What does not count: phones bought on monthly installment plans through AT&T or Verizon, tax, shipping and delivery fees, and gift cards.
• A longer return window: purchases made from 30 October to 3 December can be returned until 31 January 2027. From 4 December, members get their usual 60 days.

Best Buy also mentions member-only offers through the season, such as spend-and-get promotions, without giving dates. Note that its competitor price match does not cover prices offered only to members of other stores' programmes.

Price matching during Black Friday week

Best Buy runs two different price promises, and Black Friday week affects them differently. Its Price Match Guarantee page, with an effective date of 30 October 2026, sets out both.

So during Black Friday week, a lower price at another store will not get you a match at Best Buy, but a lower Best Buy price on something you already bought this season usually will. Best Buy also matches its own online and app prices in store, and its in-store prices online.

To ask for a match on a BestBuy.com order, use Best Buy Chat or call 1-888-BEST BUY (1-888-237-8289); if the order has arrived, the Order Details page has a link to check whether a match is available. In store, show the lower price to a member of staff.

Returning Best Buy holiday purchases

Most things bought from Best Buy between 30 October and 31 December 2026 can be returned until 15 January 2027. Best Buy counts the day you get the product as day 1. The extended window has exceptions.

Two more rules matter for big Black Friday buys. Best Buy charges a restocking fee on some returns: $45 on activatable devices other than prepaid phones, and 15% of the price on items such as drones, digital cameras, camera lenses, projectors and special-order products, unless the box is unopened or you bought in a state where the fee does not apply. And some items cannot be returned at all once bought, including final-sale items, gift cards and other prepaid cards, digital content and trading cards.

The extended Plus and Total return times do not apply to items bought from Marketplace sellers on BestBuy.com.

Best Buy Cyber Monday and Cyber Week

After Black Friday, Best Buy moves on to a Cyber Sunday and Monday Sale Event. It has not printed dates for it; Cyber Monday 2026 is Monday 30 November. On its Black Friday page Best Buy describes its Cyber deals as a new sale with online deals and Doorbusters of their own, rather than Black Friday leftovers.

Then comes something many shoppers do not expect: Best Buy uses the name Cyber Week for the days after Cyber Monday. Its Cyber Week Deals run from Tuesday 1 to Sunday 6 December, the same day the members' double rewards end. If a product you want misses the Black Friday Doorbusters, that week is a second chance at Best Buy.
