How ordering at Imperial works
Imperial, the Italian fashion brand behind imperialfashion.com, lets you order as a registered customer or as a guest. You pick a size and colour, add the item to the cart, choose how it should be delivered and pay. Two details matter before you start: the billing and delivery addresses must be in the same market, and items in your cart are not reserved, so a size can sell out before you pay. Imperial's current offers are on our Imperial coupons page.
The first email you receive lists the order, the items and the total, but it is not yet a confirmation. Imperial then checks stock. Items that turn out to be unavailable are cancelled and refunded, the rest ship, and the delivery charge you were quoted stays the same. The contract only starts with the order confirmation email, and guests receive the same emails as account holders.
Delivery options and costs
| Option | Cost | Time |
|---|---|---|
| Home delivery by UPS | €9.90, free on orders over €150 | 7 working days in Italy, 10 abroad |
| UPS Access Point | €7.90 in Italy, €9.90 in other countries | 7 working days in Italy, 10 abroad |
| Collect in store | Free | 7 working days, Italy only, collect within 10 days |
The delivery method cannot be changed after the order is placed. Collect in store works only at Imperial's e-commerce-enabled shops, which do not cover all of Italy; you get an email when the parcel is ready. The free threshold is for orders over €150, so a €140 order still pays the €9.90 home delivery charge, while the same order sent to an Imperial shop in Italy travels free.
Delivery times and where Imperial ships
Delivery takes up to 7 working days in Italy and 10 working days abroad, counted from the day after the order is confirmed. Orders are handled and delivered on weekdays only, and Imperial warns that Sardinia, Sicily and the other islands, as well as sale periods, can take longer. Its conditions of sale list these delivery countries: Italy, Belgium, Croatia, Denmark, Finland, France, Greece, Ireland, Poland, the Czech Republic, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain (except the Canary Islands, Ceuta and Melilla), Sweden and Hungary. San Marino is served too. Imperial does not deliver to duty-free areas, and the country you order from is set with the Shipping Country menu at the bottom of its home page.
Split parcels and UPS tracking
Imperial ships from several warehouses in different areas, so one order can arrive in more than one parcel on different days. Each parcel gets its own shipping email with a UPS tracking link, which you can also follow on ups.com. If nobody is home, UPS may leave the parcel at a UPS Access Point, shown in the tracking; after two failed home delivery attempts the parcel is held for collection, and if it is not collected it goes back to Imperial. Address problems also appear in the tracking. UPS My Choice lets you change the address once the tracking has arrived, and the UPS information line is 02.30303039.
Changing or cancelling an order
You can cancel an order, or some of its items, only while its status allows it. Once the shipping email with tracking has arrived, the order is with the courier and cannot be changed or cancelled; Imperial asks you to contact Customer Service before refusing a delivery, or to return the items instead. Before the shipping email, Customer Service can also change a home delivery address.
Paying at Imperial
- Cards: Visa, Mastercard, Maestro and American Express. The site does not store your card number.
- PayPal and Satispay, which take you to their own sites to pay.
- Scalapay: the order ships after the first of three instalments, and approval is decided by Scalapay alone.
- Imperial e-gift cards (€20 to €1,000), several per order, topped up with another method if needed.
There is no cash on delivery and no bank transfer. If you need an invoice, request it at checkout, because Imperial cannot issue one afterwards; gift card payments cannot be invoiced at all.
Returning an order step by step
- Request the return within 14 days of delivery (of the last parcel if the order came in several). Account holders use the Returns section of their account; guests use the online return form with the order number and email address.
- Within 14 days of the request, hand the parcel over by one of three routes: a UPS Access Point (€7.90 from Italy, €9.90 from abroad), UPS home collection (€9.90, booked with UPS) or an authorised Imperial shop in Italy (free, bring the order confirmation email or shipping note).
- Use the single UPS return label that came on one of your parcels. It works once, so wait until the whole order has arrived and send everything back together.
Items must be in their original condition with tags and accessories, and anything faulty should be reported when it arrives. A second return of the same order is still possible within the period, but you arrange and pay for the courier yourself. Click and Collect orders can only be returned in an authorised shop, within 14 days of collection. From San Marino, home collection is not available, so use a UPS Access Point in Italy or return it free at the Imperial Rimini shop. Imperial's pages describe refunds only and mention no exchange service, so for a different size you return the item and order again.
Refunds and gift cards
Imperial refunds the full price, including the original delivery cost, within 14 days of the return request, using the payment method you paid with, and it may wait until the parcel reaches its warehouse. The return fee for the UPS options is deducted from the refund. Items paid with an e-gift card are credited back to the card; with a mixed payment the card is credited first and the rest goes back to the other method.
Faulty items and the 2-year guarantee
Every product has the 2-year legal guarantee for conformity defects under Italian consumer law. If an online order arrives faulty, email customercare@imperialfashion.com straight away with the product details and photos; for something bought in a shop, take it back to that shop with proof of purchase. Complaints also go to customercare@imperialfashion.com.
How we checked this page
Every rule, fee and price here comes from Imperial's official site, imperialfashion.com: its general conditions of sale and its help centre pages on orders, shipping, returns, payments and gift cards, read on 15 October 2026. Imperial can change its terms and prices, so check them at checkout. We did not buy or test anything and did not use coupon sites as a source. Imperial's current offers are on our Imperial coupons page. This page is maintained by the SavingArena Editorial Team.
