Home Depot Black Friday 2026 dates
Home Depot Black Friday 2026 runs as the Black Friday Savings Event from 5 to 25 November, in stores and online. Home Depot announced it on its corporate news site, with savings on holiday decor, power tools, major appliances and home improvement basics. Stores are closed on Thanksgiving, 26 November, and open at 6 a.m. on Black Friday, 27 November.
| What | Dates | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Holiday decor in stores | From the week of 5 October | Home Depot holiday decor release |
| Gift savings (power tools, smart home, entertaining) | From 29 October, through the season | Home Depot holiday decor release |
| Black Friday Savings Event | Thursday 5 to Wednesday 25 November, in stores and online | Home Depot Black Friday release |
| Thanksgiving Day | Thursday 26 November | Stores closed (Home Depot 2026 store hours) |
| Black Friday | Friday 27 November | Stores open at 6 a.m. (Home Depot 2026 store hours) |
| Deals after 25 November and Cyber Monday | Not on Home Depot's corporate pages | See the Cyber Monday section below |
Some deal sites show a longer Home Depot window that runs into December. We could not find those dates on Home Depot's corporate pages, and HomeDepot.com, where the weekly ad lives, blocks our research tools, so this guide keeps to the dates Home Depot has published. Home Depot also says there are more Black Friday deals in its ad, including some online-only offers, and that selection, prices and promotions may differ between stores and online.
For the dates other stores have announced, see when Black Friday 2026 starts at each store.
Power tool BOGOs: how they work
The headline tool offer this year is a set of select power tool BOGOs (buy one, get one). In Home Depot's words, if you buy a participating tool or battery kit from brands including RYOBI, Milwaukee and DEWALT, you can get a free select power tool.
- Both items are "select". Only participating tools and kits qualify, and the free tool comes from a set list, not any tool in the aisle. Check that both items are in the offer before you pay.
- Pick the free tool for your battery. A free bare tool is most useful when it runs on the battery platform you already own or are buying.
- Other gift savings: the same event covers Hubspace smart home products, tool kits and accessories.
Home Depot has not published the full list of participating tools on its corporate site; it is on HomeDepot.com and in stores. If you want to check whether a tool price is really lower than usual, our guide Are Black Friday deals real? explains how.
Appliance savings tiers
For major appliances, Home Depot gives extra savings that grow with the size of your purchase in each category. These are the tiers it published for the Black Friday Savings Event:
| Category | Qualifying purchase | Extra savings |
|---|---|---|
| Refrigeration | $2,498 or more | Up to $500 |
| Laundry | $1,698 or more | Up to $300 |
| Cooking | $1,498 or more | Up to $300 |
| Dishwashers | $798 or more | Up to $150 |
| Maximum discount | $1,250 |
The four top amounts add up to exactly $1,250, so the maximum is only within reach if you buy in all four categories at those spending levels. If you are replacing one appliance, look at its own row: a single refrigerator purchase of $2,498 or more gets you up to $500, not $1,250. The word "qualifying" matters too, so ask which models count before you order.
Home Depot also says it offers free delivery on more than 2 million items, with same-day or next-day delivery on select products. Delivery terms for large appliances can differ, so read them at checkout.
Holiday decor deals
Three decor prices from Home Depot's Black Friday announcement:
- 6.5-foot LED pre-lit artificial Christmas trees for $49.98;
- select 3.5-foot LED pre-lit inflatables for $19.98;
- 100-count LED string lights from $5.98.
Home Depot's holiday collection went into stores from the week of 5 October, and it says fresh cut trees arrive in stores in November. Deals that are already live at other stores are in our list of early Black Friday deals.
Is Home Depot open on Thanksgiving? Black Friday hours
No. Home Depot's 2026 holiday store hours list Thanksgiving, Thursday 26 November, as closed. On Black Friday, Friday 27 November, stores open at 6 a.m. Home Depot asks shoppers to check the store locator for local hours, because times can vary by store.
| Day | Home Depot store hours, 2026 |
|---|---|
| Thanksgiving, Thursday 26 November | Closed |
| Black Friday, Friday 27 November | Open 6 a.m. |
| Christmas Eve, Thursday 24 December | Close at 5 p.m. |
| Christmas Day, Friday 25 December | Closed |
| New Year's Eve, Thursday 31 December | Close at 6 p.m. |
| New Year's Day, Friday 1 January 2027 | 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. |
The Black Friday Savings Event ends on 25 November, the day before Thanksgiving, so Home Depot's published event dates do not cover Black Friday itself. Its ad may add offers for the days after; see the next sections.
Home Depot Spring Black Friday is a different sale
If you have seen "Spring Black Friday" at Home Depot, that is a separate event in April. Home Depot's Spring Black Friday page describes 14 days of deals on seasonal essentials from 9 to 22 April. It has nothing to do with the November sale, so do not wait for it if you want holiday decor or winter tools.
Home Depot Cyber Monday
Cyber Monday 2026 is Monday 30 November. Home Depot had not published Cyber Monday dates or deals on its corporate news site when we checked on 31 October. Any offers for that day would most likely show up in its weekly ad or on HomeDepot.com, which our tools cannot read, so check there nearer the day.
Cyber Monday offers from many stores will be on our Cyber Monday deals page, and Black Friday offers are on our Black Friday deals page.
How we checked
Every date and price here comes from The Home Depot's own corporate news site, read from a US server on 31 October 2026: the Black Friday Savings Event release, the 2026 holiday decor and gift savings release, and the 2026 store holiday hours page (dated 30 March 2026). The Spring Black Friday dates come from Home Depot's own Spring Black Friday page.
HomeDepot.com itself refused our requests, so its weekly ad, its price match policy and its holiday return policy are not summarised here. Read them on HomeDepot.com before a large purchase. More guides for the season are in our Black Friday hub. This guide is written by the SavingArena Editorial Team.
