A practical savings guide for shoppers using Boc24 offers.
B.O.C. gives new subscribers to its free newsletter a €10 voucher with a minimum order value of €79. It can be redeemed once, does not apply to shipping costs and cannot be combined with other promotions or discounts. The newsletter also unlocks a second saving: when a subscriber buys a new bike or e-bike, B.O.C. sends a coupon that cuts the labour cost of the first inspection by 50%. The shop suggests that inspection after about 300 km or within the first 12 months; repairs, spare parts and wear parts are charged separately, and for leased bikes the half price applies to the rider's own share.
For the darker months the shop has a dark season collection with long sleeve jerseys, long cycling trousers, winter gloves and shoes, reflective clothing and lights; it is a themed range rather than a discount.
Sign up to the newsletter before your first order, so the €10 voucher and, on a bike purchase, the inspection coupon both arrive. Choose Click & Collect where a B.O.C. store is near you, because it saves the €39.90 bulky goods charge on a bike. Small-item orders cost less to ship once they reach €100.
Within Germany, small items cost €4.95 to ship under €100 and €2.95 from €100. Children's bikes up to 20 inch and balance bikes go as DHL bulky goods for €9.95, and other bikes and e-bikes as bulky goods for €39.90; when small items and bulky goods are combined, only the bulky charge applies. Bulky goods to German islands cost €99.00. To Austria, parcels cost €7.90, DHL bulky goods €19.90 and bikes €44.90; other countries are not served at present. Bike carriers agree a delivery date by phone, deliver in the morning only and not on Saturdays, and bulky goods cannot go to a Packstation.
You can withdraw from an online purchase within 14 days of receiving the goods. You pay the direct cost of sending them back, which is €44.90 for goods that cannot go by normal post, such as bikes, and B.O.C. refunds the payment, including standard delivery, within 14 days. Payment options are PayPal, Visa, Mastercard and American Express (charged when the order ships), bank transfer in advance, Klarna invoice, Google Pay, Apple Pay, financing through Targo Bank for orders from €99 in Germany, and leasing through JobRad, Lease a Bike, easy-bike-leasing, Bikeleasing Service and BusinessBike.
