Licensed horror masks
Trick Or Treat Studios makes officially licensed latex and vinyl masks for Halloween, Terrifier, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, A Nightmare on Elm Street, Hellraiser and other films, and sells them on its own site, where purchases are final sale. Many of the same characters are sold by HalloweenCostumes.com, FUN.com and Halloween Express, so compare the price and the return rules for the exact mask before you buy.
Fit and kids' masks
Most overhead masks are sold as one size. Party City describes its adult masks as fitting most teens and adults, and Trick Or Treat Studios says its masks are one size fits most and that fit is not a defect. Halloween Express names kids' sizes in some products, such as medium 8 to 10 and large 12 to 14. For young children, read the label: Party City marks some masks "Choking hazard: small parts. Not for children under 3 years."
Props on sale
- Halloween Express: animated props with labels up to 70% off, such as the 68 inch Animated Light-Up Butler at $99.97.
- FUN.com: 104 Halloween props in its decorations section, including a realistic 5 ft poseable skeleton at $44.99 (was $49.99).
- Trick Or Treat Studios: a Sale section of masks and props, such as the Game of Thrones Night King mask at $49.99, and licensed props like The Texas Chainsaw Massacre chainsaw prop with sound at $99.99.
Returns: most masks are final once opened
- Halloween Express never accepts latex masks back.
- Trick Or Treat Studios sells everything as final sale and replaces only items that arrive damaged or defective, reported within 5 days of delivery.
- HalloweenCostumes.com and FUN.com take back new, unused items within 30 days of the order with an 18% fee on refunds, but prosthetics, teeth and other hygiene items must be unopened.
Order in time
Trick Or Treat Studios ships in-stock orders in 3 to 5 business days and does not ship at weekends, so a mask ordered in the last week of October may arrive too late. For US delivery by 30 October, HalloweenCostumes.com lists 22 October for Standard and 29 October for Premium shipping, and Party City lists 26 October for Ground. More options are in our last-minute Halloween costume guide.
