Toy deals published so far
Black Friday toy deals for 2026 start earlier than Black Friday itself. Target's Early Black Friday sale runs from 5 to 7 November, Walmart gives Walmart+ members early access to "some of the most sought-after toys and gifts of the season" from 12 November, and Costco has dated a NEX Playground game system bundle in its Black Friday window. Black Friday is Friday 27 November 2026 and Cyber Monday is 30 November.
This table lists only what the stores have published on their own sites or in their own press releases, read on 1 November 2026. Where a store has given dates but no toy prices yet, the table says so.
| Store | What it has published | Dates | Members only? |
|---|---|---|---|
| Target | Early Black Friday sale; a Deal of the Day every day; "top toys from LEGO, Barbie and Nintendo" in its holiday range. No toy prices yet. | Early Black Friday 5 to 7 November; Deal of the Day 1 November to 24 December | No |
| Walmart | Three events, with Walmart+ early access to hot Deal drops, including sought-after toys; a Top Toys list with 25 toys priced under $25. No toy prices yet. | Early Black Friday 12 to 15 November; Black Friday Deals 23 to 29 November; Cyber Monday 30 November to 2 December | Early access for Walmart+ members |
| Costco | NEX Playground + 12-Month Play Pass Bundle at $289.99 after $60 off, limit 10, in warehouses and online | Within 19 to 30 November (the listing shows two date ranges); Costco is closed on Thanksgiving, 26 November | Costco membership |
| Kohl's | More than 1,000 LEGO sets in its holiday range; Early Access with an extra 20% off with a coupon | Early Access 6 to 8 November; Black Friday Week 22 to 28 November | No |
| LEGO (US site) | Black Friday and LEGO Insiders Weekend pages in its menu, with no dates | Not published | Insiders Weekend is for members |
For the dates every big store has announced, not only for toys, see our guide to when Black Friday 2026 starts, and for offers already running across other categories, our list of early Black Friday deals.
When toy deals start at each store
- Target: the Early Black Friday sale runs for three days, 5 to 7 November. After it, Target says it will add new limited-time offers every weekend through the season, alongside the daily Deal of the Day. Our Target Black Friday guide has the details, and our Target coupon page lists its current offers.
- Walmart: Early Black Friday Deals start on Walmart.com at 12:01 a.m. ET on 12 November and in stores at 6 a.m. local time, until 15 November. Walmart+ members get early access to hot Deal drops at 12:01 a.m. ET on 12 November, and anything left opens to everyone 24 hours later. The same pattern repeats for Black Friday Deals from 23 November online, with stores joining on 27 November at 6 a.m. local time. See our Walmart coupon page.
- Kohl's: Black Friday Early Access runs 6 to 8 November with an extra 20% off qualifying purchases with a coupon, and Black Friday Week runs 22 to 28 November. Kohl's says its holiday range has more than 1,000 LEGO sets. More in our Kohl's Black Friday guide and on our Kohl's coupon page.
- Costco: its Black Friday page dates the NEX Playground bundle above, and Costco is closed on Thanksgiving. Our Costco Black Friday guide covers its other dated items.
- Toys"R"Us: its US website, toysrus.com, showed no Black Friday offer on 1 November; it listed free shipping on orders over $79.
Amazon, Mattel and Hasbro had not published 2026 Black Friday toy offers that we could read on 1 November. We will add them when they do.
Toys by age
The stores' early announcements do not sort toys by age, so this section pairs the offers above with the age guidance the US Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) gives holiday shoppers. The age on the box is the first check: the CPSC's advice is to choose toys that match the child's age, interests and abilities, and to read and follow the label.
Babies and toddlers
For children under 3, the CPSC's rule of thumb is to keep small balls and toys with small parts away from them, because they are choking hazards. Under federal rules, toys made for children under 3 must not contain small parts, and the CPSC lists some product types that are excluded from that ban, such as balloons, books, crayons and modeling clay, so those need extra care. If you are buying wooden or pretend-play toys for this age, our Melissa and Doug page lists that store's offers; on 1 November its own site gave free standard shipping on orders of $75 or more to the contiguous US.
Ages 3 to 7
This is the age when gifts for older children can reach younger ones. The CPSC asks shoppers to think about every child in the household, because toys with small parts, projectiles or sharp edges can harm younger siblings, and to keep balloons, especially latex ones, away from children under 8. For riding toys such as scooters, it advises buying a helmet that fits at the same time. Outdoor play sets for this age are covered in the trampolines section below; our Step2 page lists that brand's offers.
Ages 8 and up
Building sets and game systems are the main published offers so far: Target names LEGO and Nintendo among its top toys, Kohl's lists more than 1,000 LEGO sets, and Costco's NEX Playground bundle comes with a 12-month Play Pass. The CPSC's warning about high-powered magnets and button or coin batteries still applies at this age if younger children are in the house, since they can be swallowed. Video game consoles and games have their own guide later in the season.
LEGO, Barbie and Hot Wheels
LEGO's US site had "Black Friday" and "LEGO Insiders Weekend" pages in its menu on 1 November, but gave no dates or offers for either. LEGO Insiders is LEGO's own membership programme, so watch for member-only perks there. Our LEGO coupon page collects the brand's offers.
For Barbie and Hot Wheels, which are Mattel brands, Mattel had not published Black Friday offers on the pages we read. Target names Barbie among its top toys for the season, so its Deal of the Day and early sale are the first places to check. We will add the first published Barbie and Hot Wheels offers here.
Trampolines, swing sets and outdoor play
Trampolines and swing sets draw a lot of Black Friday searches, but none of the store pages we read on 1 November listed a 2026 Black Friday offer on either. When offers do appear, the sticker price is only part of the cost. Check these before you buy:
- Space and clearance: measure the area, including the clear space around the frame that the maker's manual asks for, not only the frame size.
- Weight and age limits: the maker's stated user weight limit and age range, and whether a safety enclosure is included or sold separately.
- Delivery: big items often carry extra charges. Melissa and Doug, for example, adds a $15 oversized item fee to very large or heavy items, even when standard shipping is free.
- Assembly: whether assembly is offered, at what price, and how long the maker says it takes.
- Returns: whether the store collects a large item if you return it, and whether it charges for that. A box that will not fit in a car is hard to take back to a store.
- Timing: outdoor sets bought in November usually sit in a garage until spring, so check the return window covers the time you will first open the box.
Toy safety checks before you buy
The CPSC says most toy injuries and deaths are linked to choking on small parts. Its holiday shopping release of 18 October 2022 adds these checks:
- Check for recalls before you buy a new or second-hand toy, at cpsc.gov/recalls or in the CPSC's free recalls app. Federal law bars anyone from selling a recalled product.
- Register the toy with the maker after you buy it, if you can, so recall notices reach you directly.
- Online, look for the warnings. Toys with small parts, balls, marbles or balloons should carry a choking hazard warning, and US rules require the same warning in their advertising.
- Buy from sellers you know. The CPSC warns that a price that looks too good to be true can be a sign of a counterfeit, which may be unsafe. Look for the maker's label and a mark from an independent testing organisation.
- Bin the packaging. Thin plastic bags and wrapping can suffocate small children.
- Report problems. If a toy seems dangerous, stop using it, keep it away from children and report it at SaferProducts.gov.
Return windows for toys bought as gifts
Toys bought in November are often opened at Christmas, so the holiday return window matters more than the price. These are the windows the stores have published for 2026, read on 1 November:
| Store | Bought between | Return by | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Walmart | 1 October and 31 December | 31 January | Most items; Walmart names exceptions such as wireless phones, protection plans, major appliances and select seasonal and luxury goods |
| Target | 1 November and 24 December 2026 | The return window starts on 26 December 2026 | Electronics and entertainment (except Apple and Beats) by 24 January 2027 |
| Kohl's | 4 October and 30 December | 31 January 2027 | Free returns in store |
| Best Buy | 30 October and 31 December | 15 January 2027 | Holiday decorations 15 days; items bought with a third-party contract excluded |
Keep receipts and gift receipts with the toy, not with the wrapping paper. Our guide to Black Friday returns and price matching compares these stores' rules in more detail, including what happens if a price drops after you buy.
UK: Smyths, The Entertainer and Argos
For readers in the UK, prices are in pounds and the stores are different.
- Argos: its Black Friday page, read on 1 November 2026, advertised up to 50% off selected toys and up to a third off selected LEGO sets, and said Black Friday 2026 deals are live, with more in the run-up to 27 November.
- Smyths Toys: its Black Friday page showed our tools a bot check on 1 November, which we did not try to get around, so we cannot report its offers yet.
- The Entertainer: its website did not open for our tools either. Our Entertainer page lists the offers we hold for the store.
Cyber Monday toy deals
Cyber Monday 2026 is Monday 30 November. Walmart's Cyber Monday event runs from 30 November to 2 December, Kohl's Cyber Deals run 29 to 30 November with 40% off qualifying purchases with a coupon, and Costco's NEX Playground bundle is dated to 30 November. Target had not published Cyber Monday dates on 1 November. We will add Cyber Monday toy offers as the stores publish them, and they will also be on our Cyber Monday deals page.
How we check these deals
Every offer and date here comes from the store's own website or press release, read from a US server on 1 November 2026: Walmart's holiday release of 26 October, Target's holiday release of 21 October and its returns help page, Kohl's releases of 21 and 30 October, Costco's Black Friday page, Best Buy's return policy, Walmart's policy page, lego.com, melissaanddoug.com and toysrus.com. UK offers come from Argos's Black Friday page, read on 1 November 2026. Safety advice comes from the CPSC's own pages. We have not tested any toy, so we do not rank them.
We will read the stores' pages again on 12, 16, 23 and 27 November and add toy prices as they appear. More offers are on our Black Friday deals page, our guide Are Black Friday deals real? shows how to check a "was" price, and our other guides are in the Black Friday hub. This guide is written by the SavingArena Editorial Team.

Yes. Walmart says Walmart+ members get early access to hot Deal drops, including some of the most sought-after toys, from 12:01 a.m. ET on 12 November and again on 23 November, with leftovers opening to everyone 24 hours later.
How do I check a toy for recalls?
The US Consumer Product Safety Commission lists recalls at cpsc.gov/recalls and in its free recalls app. It also suggests registering a toy with its maker so recall notices reach you.
