Nordstrom Black Friday 2026: Early Sale, Dates and Returns

Nordstrom Black Friday 2026 at a glance

Nordstrom Black Friday 2026 has started early. On 6 November 2026, Nordstrom's home page and its Black Friday page both carried an "Early Black Friday Sale": up to 25% off select fashion and 15% off select fragrance, through 11 November, with restrictions. Black Friday itself is Friday 27 November. Nordstrom had not dated its main Black Friday sale or its Cyber Monday offers when we checked, so this guide sets out what Nordstrom has published, what it has not, and the store rules that matter for a holiday order.

The table shows each point as Nordstrom's own pages stated it on 6 November 2026. We fill in the gaps as Nordstrom publishes them.

For other stores' dates, see our guide to when Black Friday 2026 starts at each store and our Black Friday 2026 deals page.

Early Black Friday Sale now to 11 November; main event not dated yet

The short answer to "when does Nordstrom's Black Friday sale start" is that the first part is already running. Nordstrom's own wording is "Surprise! Black Friday is starting early. Save on in-season styles now." The sale has its own landing page, titled "Early Black Friday Deals", which says the early prices on in-season styles run through November 11. On 6 November it listed 23,597 items.

Nordstrom does not show the day the early sale began. It was not on the Black Friday page when that page was read on 3 November, and it was live on 6 November. We give no start date because Nordstrom has not published one.

What comes after 11 November is not announced. Nordstrom's Black Friday page names Friday 27 November as Black Friday and refers to its "2026 Cyber Deals", but gives no dates for a main sale. Some shopping sites print last year's dates as if they were this year's; we do not, because Nordstrom has not confirmed them. If you have a specific item in mind, the early sale is a known price you can compare against later. For help judging whether a later price is really lower, see our guide on whether Black Friday deals are real.

The "See Restrictions" link on the sale points to Nordstrom's promotion terms page. On 6 November that page had no entry for the Early Black Friday Sale yet; it still listed an ended clearance offer that ran from 26 October to 2 November. So the exact exclusions of the early sale are not published, and the safest guide is the price shown in your bag before you pay.

What is on sale now at Nordstrom

Everything below is from Nordstrom's home page, Black Friday page and early sale page as we read them on 6 November 2026. Item prices change often and some items already carried earlier markdowns, so we quote the headline offers, not single prices.

Fashion and cold weather

The fashion side of the sale is "up to 25% off select fashion", described as in-season styles. Nordstrom's home page has a separate tile for it, "Early Black Friday Sale: Cold Weather on sale", and the early sale page can be filtered by women, men, kids, shoes, accessories and home, with coats, jackets, sweaters, dresses and jeans among the clothing types. "Up to" means the 25% is the most any item gets; many items get less, and not every style is included.

UGG and boots

Shoppers search for "Nordstrom Black Friday UGG" more than for any other brand. UGG was in the early sale's brand list on 6 November, and boots and slippers were among the shoe types in it. That does not mean every UGG style is reduced, so check that the style and size you want show the sale price. Nordstrom Rack, a separate store, was also tagging UGG styles as Black Friday deals that day; see the Rack section below.

Beauty and fragrance

Fragrance has its own early offer: "15% off select fragrance through November 11." Nordstrom names Parfums de Marly, AMOUAGE and Yves Saint Laurent among the brands, and the fragrance part of the sale has its own page. As with fashion, it is select scents, not the whole fragrance department. For Black Friday beauty sales at other stores, see our Black Friday beauty deals guide.

The new cardmember offer

Nordstrom is running a card offer next to the sale: "Get $60 off your next purchase" when you are approved for a new Nordstrom credit card through 1 December, with terms. It is a credit product, so it only makes sense if you would want the card anyway; the $60 is not a reason on its own to open one.

Nordstrom vs Nordstrom Rack

Many pages that rank for Nordstrom Black Friday are really about Nordstrom Rack. They are two different stores with different websites, prices and sales. Nordstrom (nordstrom.com) is the department store with full-price and sale items. Nordstrom Rack (nordstromrack.com) is the off-price store.

• Sales are separate. On 6 November Nordstrom ran its Early Black Friday Sale, while Rack's home page showed "Black Friday Scores Up to 75% Off" and an extra 25% off clearance. Nordstrom's own promotion terms say some of its offers are not valid at Nordstrom Rack stores, the Rack app or NordstromRack.com.
• Returns differ. Nordstrom sets no time limit on returns. Rack's policy is 40 days, with a holiday window that runs to 18 January 2027 for eligible purchases.
• Some services cross over. Eligible Nordstrom and Nordstrom.com items can be returned at Rack stores, except fine jewelry and designer items, and Nordstrom.com orders can be picked up at a Nordstrom or Nordstrom Rack store.

If you are after Rack's deals, look at nordstromrack.com, not nordstrom.com.

Is Nordstrom open on Thanksgiving? Black Friday hours

Nordstrom had not posted 2026 Thanksgiving or Black Friday store hours when we checked on 6 November. Hours can differ by store, and lists on local news sites usually date from earlier years. Check your store's page on Nordstrom's site in the week of Thanksgiving, Thursday 26 November.

Nordstrom.com is open around the clock, so the online sale does not depend on store hours. If you plan to pick up an online order on Black Friday, Nordstrom's pickup options include in store and curbside. Nordstrom also says its stores are hosting holiday events, from photos with Santa to holiday breakfast; the details are on each store's page.

Price adjustments, free shipping and returns

These are Nordstrom's standing rules as its own help pages stated them on 6 November 2026. They matter more than usual in a season with an early sale and a later main event.

Returns

Nordstrom's return policy says: "There are no time limits for returns or exchanges." There are exceptions:

• Gift cards cannot be returned.
• Fine jewelry cannot be returned by mail; it goes back to a Nordstrom store with a Fine Jewelry department.
• Items from Marketplace sellers follow the seller's own return window and are not eligible for exchanges or price adjustments.
• Pre-owned watches from Watchfinder are final sale.
• Special-occasion dresses and designer items must come back in original condition with tags and packaging.
• Balsam Hill holiday products have their own window: within 30 days of purchase or before 25 December, whichever comes first, and not in stores.

Refunds go to the original payment method. Nordstrom says in-store refunds generally take 3 to 5 business days, mailed returns take 8 to 12 business days to process before the refund, and shipping charges are not refunded. Returns by mail start online with a prepaid label or a QR code for an eligible USPS or FedEx location.

Shipping and pickup

Nordstrom's shipping page says it will ship "almost anything on our site to anywhere in the United States", including Alaska, Hawaii and Puerto Rico, for free. Two-day and next-day shipping are offered on eligible items; the page does not list their cost, so check it at checkout. Members of The Nordy Club, Nordstrom's rewards programme, get free shipping as fast as one business day on thousands of eligible items in select areas. In-store purchases can come in Nordstrom's silver gift box for free, or in a fabric bag for $5.

Price adjustments

Nordstrom has a price adjustment service, but its price adjustment page opens inside a customer account and did not show its terms to us, so we do not describe the window here. One rule is stated on the return policy page: Marketplace items are not eligible for price adjustments. If you buy in the early sale and the price drops later, ask Nordstrom before you assume an adjustment. How other big stores handle price drops is in our Black Friday returns and price matching guide.

Nordstrom Cyber Monday 2026

Cyber Monday is Monday 30 November 2026. Nordstrom's Black Friday page refers to its "2026 Cyber Deals" but gives no dates, discounts or categories, and the home page had no Cyber Monday offer on 6 November. We will add Nordstrom's Cyber Monday dates here when it publishes them. Cyber Monday offers from other stores are on our Cyber Monday deals page.

For a department store that has already dated each of its events, compare our Kohl's Black Friday guide. For sales that started before Black Friday elsewhere, see our early Black Friday deals roundup.

How we check this page

Every offer, date and rule on this page comes from Nordstrom's own website, read on 6 November 2026: the home page, the Black Friday page, the Early Black Friday Deals page, the promotion terms page, the return policy and the shipping page. Nordstrom Rack's offers come from nordstromrack.com, read the same day. Nordstrom's press site refused our tools, and the price adjustment terms sit behind an account login, so neither is used. We do not use other sites' guesses about Nordstrom's dates. We will check Nordstrom's pages again every two days and update this guide when the main Black Friday sale, Cyber Monday or holiday hours are announced. All our Black Friday guides are in the Black Friday hub. This guide is written by the SavingArena Editorial Team.
