Amazon Black Friday 2026 at a glance

Amazon Black Friday 2026 falls on Friday 27 November, and Cyber Monday on Monday 30 November; Amazon confirms both dates in its own Black Friday FAQ. What Amazon had not published by 31 October is how long its sale will run. Its FAQ says customers can shop early deals in the Holiday Shop now and should "check back soon for more information". Several websites already print a start date for Amazon's Black Friday Week, but Amazon has not, so this page keeps what Amazon has confirmed apart from what it has not.

When Amazon's Black Friday Week starts

On 31 October, none of Amazon's own pages gave a start date for its 2026 Black Friday event. Its Black Friday hub said only that Amazon Black Friday 2026 "is almost here". A page that gives you an exact 2026 start date for Amazon today is estimating it. We will add Amazon's dates and start time here when Amazon publishes them.

How long it lasted last year

In 2025, Amazon ran its Black Friday Week and Cyber Monday deal events from 12:01 a.m. PST on 20 November to 1 December 2025: twelve days in all. Black Friday Week ended on 28 November and the Cyber Monday event ran on to 1 December, with new daily deal drops throughout under the name Today's Big Deals. These are last year's dates, a guide to the pattern only.

Amazon's 2025 extras are worth knowing too, again as last year's facts: a two-day Amazon Haul sale on 10 and 11 November, thousands of $50 gift cards given away from 20 November to people signed up for Amazon emails and app notifications, a $250 gift card on approval for the Prime Visa card from 10 November to 8 December, and live sport on Prime Video on Black Friday with no subscription needed. Amazon has not said which of these return in 2026.

Early deals in Amazon's Holiday Shop now

Amazon says customers can shop early deals in its Holiday Shop now, and it points to its Deals page as the place to browse early offers. Its news hub also lists two gift guides for the season: the Holiday Kids Gift Book, with more than 600 toys, games and gifts, and its 2026 Top 100+ Toys list.

Do you need Prime for Amazon Black Friday?

Amazon says some deals and discounts are available only to Prime members, and that Prime members get 30-minute early access to its Lightning Deals. It has not said which 2026 Black Friday deals will be for Prime members only. These are the memberships Amazon lists:

Two points from the numbers. Paying yearly costs $139, against $179.88 for twelve monthly payments. And a free 30-day trial started on or after 1 November covers both Black Friday and Cyber Monday; if you do not want to keep Prime, note when the trial ends.

Amazon promo codes and coupons on Black Friday

Amazon had not announced a sitewide Black Friday promo code for 2026 by 31 October, and we found none on its pages. Its own savings guide describes coupons instead:

• Coupons appear on product pages, in search results, on the Amazon Coupons page and in the Amazon Shopping app, for example as "Save 10%" in green next to a price.
• You tick the box under the item's price, and the coupon is applied when you check out.
• Coupons run for a limited time. If one expires while the item is still in your cart, you can no longer use it.
• Amazon also offers monthly coupons on select items, and some deals are for Prime members only.

We do not carry an Amazon US store page, so we do not list Amazon codes, and we will not repeat codes we cannot find on Amazon's own pages.

Check a deal before you buy

Amazon gives you two tools that make a Black Friday price easier to judge:

• Price History. Tap "Price History" on a product page, or ask Alexa for Shopping, to see up to 365 days of prices. Compare the Black Friday price with the item's own low over the past year, not with its list price.
• Alerts and auto-buy. Add items to your lists, cart or Save for Later, and Alexa+ can notify you when a watched item goes on sale. Alexa for Shopping can also buy an item automatically when it reaches a price you set.

Price History shows only Amazon's own price, so check the same model elsewhere too. Amazon's 2026 holiday return window

Amazon told its sellers that items bought from 1 November to 31 December 2026 can be returned until 31 January 2027. Apple products are the exception: they can be returned until 15 January 2027. The notice says the extended window applies to everything sold on Amazon.com, whether Amazon ships it or the seller does, and that it stretches Amazon's standard 30-day return window.

In practice, an item bought on Black Friday, 27 November, can go back until 31 January 2027, about nine weeks, instead of 27 December under the standard 30 days. Two cases are not covered in the same way: Apple products, which are due by 15 January 2027, and orders placed before 1 November, which keep the standard 30 days. A 31 October order, for example, is due back by about 30 November.

Price matching and price drops

Amazon's help page on pricing and price matching did not open for our tools on 31 October 2026, so we do not state Amazon's rule here. We will add it once we can read it on Amazon's own site. Until then, the tools above are the way to wait for a better price on Amazon: Price History to see whether today's price is low for that item, and alerts or auto-buy to catch a drop.
