Canadian Tire Black Friday 2026 at a glance

Canadian Tire Black Friday 2026 starts early. Canadian Tire's own Black Friday page says its deals on kitchen appliances, Christmas decor, tools, cookware and more start on Thursday 5 November 2026. Black Friday itself is Friday 27 November, and Canadian Tire says some promotions may continue through Cyber Monday, 30 November. All prices on this page are Canadian, shown as C$.

The table holds what Canadian Tire had published when we read its pages on 1 November 2026.

Some flyer sites print "27 November to 7 December" for this year's sale, and one search answer gives 28 November as Black Friday. Both are wrong for 2026: those are last year's weekdays, and Black Friday 2026 falls on 27 November. For the dates other big stores have set, see our guide to when Black Friday 2026 starts at each store.

When does Canadian Tire Black Friday start?

On Thursday 5 November 2026. Canadian Tire's page puts it in one line: "Get set to save on kitchen appliances, Christmas decor, tools, cookware and more starting Thursday, November 5." That is more than three weeks before Black Friday itself.

Canadian Tire does not give an end date. Its FAQ says Black Friday promotions "often begin before the official Black Friday date, with new offers appearing throughout the shopping event", and that the event may release new offers through the period. In plain words, expect deals in waves rather than one sale that starts and stops. An item that is not discounted on 5 November may appear later, and a deal from the first week may end before 27 November. Where an offer shows its own end date, go by that date.

Canadian Tire also says availability and prices "may vary by item and location". Its pricing note adds that online prices and sale dates "may differ from those in-store and may vary by region", and that "Dealers may sell for less", so your local store's price can be lower than the one advertised.

The Black Friday flyer

Canadian Tire publishes a weekly online flyer on canadiantire.ca, and its app lets you browse flyers and activate personalized offers. On 1 November there was no Black Friday flyer yet; the Black Friday page pointed to the weekly deals, clearance and the app instead.

Because flyers are set by region, a price you see quoted for Calgary or for an Ontario store may not match yours. Three habits help:

  • Choose your own store on the website or in the app before you compare, so you are looking at your region's prices.
  • Check the flyer dates. Each flyer runs for a set week, and a Black Friday price in one week's flyer may not carry into the next.
  • Compare the flyer with the product page. Canadian Tire says online prices and sale dates can differ from in-store ones, so check both if you plan to pick up in store.

We will add the dates of the Black Friday flyer here once Canadian Tire publishes it.

Deals so far

When we read Canadian Tire's Black Friday page on 1 November, it named the categories for the first wave, which are kitchen appliances, Christmas decor, tools and cookware, but not the products or their prices. Its FAQ adds that popular Black Friday deals "often include" power tools, automotive accessories, small appliances, sporting goods, holiday decor and household essentials. We will list the first deals with their prices and dates here after they go live on 5 November.

Air fryers, TVs, toys and Christmas trees

Air fryers sit in the kitchen appliances Canadian Tire names for the first wave, but no air fryer model or price was listed on 1 November. Christmas trees, lights and decor have their own "Christmas starts here" banner across the site. TVs and toys were not named on the Black Friday page. If you are shopping for one of these, note the current price of the exact model now, so you can tell whether a Black Friday price is lower.

Tires

A banner across canadiantire.ca on 1 November read "Save up to 25%* during the Biggest Tire Sale of the Year". The page did not show the sale's dates or the terms behind the asterisk, so check them on the tire pages before you book. Last year the Triangle Rewards Black Friday offers also included bonus CT Money on tires, as the next section explains, so tire buyers may want to wait for this year's bonus details before deciding when to buy.

Triangle Rewards and CT Money

Triangle Rewards is Canadian Tire's loyalty programme. Members collect Canadian Tire Money, shown as CT Money, on eligible purchases and can redeem it at Canadian Tire and the programme's other participating stores, such as Sport Chek and Mark's. Canadian Tire's FAQ says Black Friday purchases may earn CT Money under the programme's terms, so check each offer.

The rules that decide what a Black Friday bonus is worth are printed in the Triangle terms:

  • The base rate is 0.4%, collected on the pre-tax amount. Not every item earns CT Money.
  • Bonus multipliers are based on that 0.4%. Canadian Tire's own example: a C$100 pre-tax purchase with a 20x bonus earns a bonus of C$8 in CT Money (20 x 0.4% x C$100).
  • Bonus CT Money may take up to 5 weeks to reach your account, so a Black Friday bonus may not arrive before Christmas.
  • No rainchecks, and bonus offers do not apply to gift card purchases.

The Triangle Rewards Black Friday page has not been updated for 2026. It still carries last year's offers, which give an idea of the shape, labelled here as 2025:

  • 2025: C$50 bonus CT Money on a C$300 pre-tax spend at Canadian Tire on Thursday 27 and Friday 28 November 2025, once per day per account.
  • 2025: 20x bonus CT Money on qualifying tire and wheel purchases from 27 November to 1 December 2025.
  • 2025: 50x bonus CT Money on YETI products at Sport Chek, and "up to 70%" off at Mark's, from 20 November to 3 December 2025.

These are not this year's offers. We will replace them with the 2026 bonuses once Canadian Tire posts them. Canadian Tire also advertises 4% back in CT Money at Canadian Tire with a Triangle credit card, which it says has no annual fee; the rate carries a footnote, so read the card terms first.

The 24-month financing, in plain words

Canadian Tire's "Equal payments, no interest" plan runs for 24 months unless stated otherwise, on request and on approved credit, for purchases of C$150 or more (gift cards excluded) made with a Triangle credit card. Interest does not build up during the plan, but the terms set two conditions. Each month's equal payment must be paid in full by its due date, or the unpaid part starts to earn interest at the card's regular annual rate. And if the full minimum payment is not received within 59 days of a statement date, all special payment plans on the account end and the remaining balances start to earn interest at the regular rate. For Quebec applicants, the terms give that regular rate as 21.99%, and say some applicants may get a higher or lower rate.

Canadian Tire Cyber Monday 2026

Cyber Monday 2026 is Monday 30 November. Canadian Tire has not published any Cyber Monday offers yet; its Black Friday page says only that promotions may "continue through Cyber Monday". Last year its Triangle tire bonus ran through Cyber Monday, 1 December 2025. We will add Canadian Tire's Cyber Monday deals here when it posts them. Offers from other stores are on our Cyber Monday deals page, and Black Friday offers are on our Black Friday deals page.

Returns on Black Friday buys

Canadian Tire's standard rule is generous: unopened items in their original packaging, returned with a receipt within 90 days, get a refund to the original payment method or an exchange. If you lose the receipt, stores can look up credit and debit card purchases made within the last 90 days. Opened, damaged or unsellable items may not be accepted, and photo ID may be asked for.

Several of the products people buy on Black Friday have shorter windows. These are the exceptions Canadian Tire lists:

ProductReturn rule
Electronics (home and personal audio and video, cameras, communications) and e-scooters30 days
Auto electronics (backup cameras, car audio, GPS, remote starters and similar)14 days
Gas-powered outdoor equipment (mowers, snowblowers, generators)30 days, new, unused and in the original packaging
Dehumidifiers and portable air conditioners30 days
Mattresses, portable beds, books, DVDs, ink and memory cardsOnly if unopened
Tents90 days if unopened; 7-day replacement if opened and parts are defective or missing
BikesCannot be returned; a free tune-up within 30 days with proof of purchase
Christmas and Halloween decor"May be subject to return restrictions"; ask your store or read the policy on your receipt

A defective item falls under the maker's warranty and is repaired or replaced. The decor line deserves attention in November: if you buy a tree or lights on Black Friday, ask about the return terms at the till, because Canadian Tire refers shoppers to their local store and to the policy printed on the receipt.

It also helps to know where the law stands. Canada's Office of Consumer Affairs says that businesses in Canada are not obligated to accept the return of purchased items unless they are defective. A 90-day window is Canadian Tire's own policy, not a legal right, so keep receipts and packaging until you are sure.

Is it a real deal?

Canadian Tire shows a "Was" price beside many sale prices. Its own footnote says the "Was price reflects the last national regular price this product was sold for". That is a useful reference, but it tells you nothing about what the item cost a month or a year ago.

Canada's Competition Bureau warned businesses before Black Friday 2025 that a "regular price" must be real. It must pass one of two tests: the volume test, where more than half of the item's sales were at that price or higher within a reasonable period, usually a year, or the time test, where the item was offered in good faith at that price or higher for a substantial period, usually within a year. The Bureau said it had seen a surge in complaints about inflated regular prices.

The simplest check is to compare the same model at another Canadian store, such as Walmart Canada, before you buy. Our guide Are Black Friday deals real? shows how to check a price history.

How we check this page

Every date, rule and offer above comes from Canadian Tire's own pages, read from our US server on 1 November 2026: the Black Friday page on canadiantire.ca, its pricing and financing footnotes, the returns page, and the Black Friday page on triangle.canadiantire.ca, which still carries 2025 copy and is labelled as such. That day canadiantire.ca was in view-only maintenance mode, with online purchases switched off. The rule on returns comes from the Office of Consumer Affairs at Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada, and the regular-price tests from the Competition Bureau's release of 25 November 2025. We do not take dates from flyer sites or search answers, and we have not tested these products.

We will read Canadian Tire's pages again after the first deals go live on 5 November, around 19 November, and in Black Friday and Cyber Monday week. For early offers at other stores, see our list of early Black Friday deals and the rest of our Black Friday guides. This guide is written by the SavingArena Editorial Team.
