Thanksgiving Deals 2026: Meal Deals and Thanksgiving Sales

Thanksgiving 2026 deals at a glance

Thanksgiving deals in 2026 come in two kinds. The first is the meal deal: a store bundles a turkey dinner at a fixed price, and that is most of what people look for in early November. The second is shopping: most big stores keep their doors shut on Thursday 26 November, but several put Black Friday prices online that day. This page covers both, using only what each store has published.

Thanksgiving meal deals:

• Walmart: a Holiday Meal Basket for 10 people for $35, available until 24 December.
• Target: a Thanksgiving meal for six for $30, from 8 to 29 November.
• ALDI: a meal for 10 for under $39, until 25 November.
• Lidl US: a basket for up to 10 for $35.86, for Lidl Plus members, from 11 to 25 November.
• Sam's Club: an 11-item Member's Mark meal for up to 16 people for just under $160, for members.

Deals online on Thanksgiving Day, 26 November: Kohl's Black Friday doorbusters go live on Kohls.com at 12:01 a.m. CT, Walmart's Black Friday Deals have been online since 23 November, Best Buy keeps its deals running in its app and on BestBuy.com, and Costco lists savings dated 26 November on its website. All four keep their stores closed that day.

Thanksgiving meal deals compared

Sources: each store's own release, read on 31 October 2026 (Walmart 28 October, Target 22 October, ALDI 14 October, Sam's Club 15 October, and Lidl US's Thanksgiving release). Lidl's per-person figure is our own division of its price by 10. All prices are before tax.

Walmart Holiday Meal Basket

Walmart's basket has 26 items, 17 different products, for a meal for 10: a Butterball turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce, green bean, sweet potato and corn casseroles, mashed potatoes, rolls, and pumpkin pie with whipped topping. You can buy it in stores or add the whole list to your cart in one click at Walmart.com/HolidaySavingsBasket, and Walmart says there is no limit on quantities.

The fine print matters here. The $35 covers the listed items only and is worked out on an average 13.5 lb turkey at 97 cents a pound, so a heavier bird costs more. Pickup, shipping or delivery fees from $0 to $19.95 may apply. Prices run from 28 October to 24 December 2026, and the offer excludes Alaska, Hawaii, Oklahoma, Puerto Rico and Wisconsin. Walmart also offers free Express Delivery on orders of $35 or more that include Campbell's mushroom soup, a Butterball turkey or Stove Top stuffing, with the code THANKFUL, until 30 November.

Target Thanksgiving meal for six

Target's $30 meal covers six people: a Butterball turkey of up to 10 lb, a 3 lb bag of russet potatoes, jellied cranberry sauce, two cans of French-style green beans, cream of mushroom soup, fried onions, stuffing mix, turkey gravy and two take-and-bake baguettes. Prices are before tax, run from 8 to 29 November 2026, and do not apply in Alaska or Hawaii. Target also says its Good & Gather frozen turkey returns at 79 cents a pound from November, and it has added $5 sides and pies.

ALDI Thanksgiving meal for 10

ALDI's meal is a shopping list rather than a box: a 16 lb turkey, cubed stuffing, sweet potatoes, dinner rolls, frozen peas, fresh cranberries, celery, carrots, pumpkin pie mix and crusts, whipping cream and whole milk, under $39 in all. ALDI built it around the meal tracked in the American Farm Bureau Federation's Thanksgiving cost survey, and it needs no coupons, loyalty card or membership. The items carry a turkey logo on store shelves until 25 November, though the turkey arrives on 4 November and the pie mix on 11 November. ALDI says the price also applies through DoorDash, Instacart and Uber Eats, where delivery and service fees may be added, and that the actual price varies by product and location.

Lidl US Thanksgiving basket

Lidl's basket feeds up to 10 for $35.86 and is for Lidl Plus members only, from 11 to 25 November. It includes a 14 lb Shady Brook Farms frozen turkey and the makings of stuffing, gravy, mashed potatoes, sweet potato and green bean casseroles, macaroni and cheese, rolls and pumpkin pie. From 11 November, Lidl also promises Lidl Plus members that it will match the comparable total price of the Thanksgiving basket at Walmart and Aldi, with terms attached. Lidl US has more than 200 stores in nine East Coast states, and they are closed on Thanksgiving Day.

Sam's Club Member's Mark Thanksgiving Meal

Sam's Club's meal is the largest and the most ready-made: 11 Member's Mark items for just under $160, for up to 16 people. It includes a boneless carver ham and a hickory smoked turkey, Yukon Gold mashed potatoes, turkey gravy, two green bean dishes, two macaroni and cheese, sweet corn, a cranberry crunch salad, rolls, a charcuterie tray and two 12-inch pumpkin pies. Sam's Club says it takes about two hours to prepare, though oven times vary. Since 28 October, members can add the whole meal to their cart in one click in the app or online, for curbside pickup or delivery, or buy it in a club. The under-$10 per person figure is based on average weights and assumes you buy the full set.

How to choose a Thanksgiving meal deal

• Compare what you get, not just the price per person. Walmart, ALDI, Lidl and Target sell ingredients you cook yourself. Sam's Club sells mostly prepared dishes, with a ham and a charcuterie tray on top, which is why it costs more per head.
• Check the turkey size. Walmart's price assumes a 13.5 lb bird, Target's turkey is up to 10 lb, Lidl's is 14 lb and ALDI's is 16 lb. For a large group, a bigger turkey can matter more than a lower basket price.
• Count the membership. Sam's Club's meal needs a club membership, and Lidl's needs the Lidl Plus app. ALDI, Walmart and Target need neither.
• Add delivery costs. Walmart lists fees of $0 to $19.95 for pickup or delivery, unless you use its free Express Delivery code before 30 November, and ALDI's delivery partners may add fees.
• Check where you live. Walmart's price excludes five states and territories, Target's excludes Alaska and Hawaii, and Lidl's stores are on the East Coast only.
• Watch the dates. Lidl's offer ends on 25 November and ALDI's prices on 25 November, the day before Thanksgiving. Target's runs to 29 November and Walmart's to 24 December, so the latter two also work for Christmas planning.

Shopping deals that go live on Thanksgiving Day

Many older Thanksgiving shopping guides still describe stores opening on Thanksgiving evening. In 2026 the stores below have said they stay closed on 26 November, but some of their deals do not wait:

• Kohl's: Black Friday Week doorbusters go live on Kohls.com at 12:01 a.m. CT on Thanksgiving Day, with an extra 20% off qualifying purchases with a coupon and $15 in Kohl's Cash for every $50 spent. Stores are closed and open at 5 a.m. local time on 27 November.
• Walmart: its Black Friday Deals event starts on Walmart.com at 12:01 a.m. ET on 23 November and runs to 29 November, so it is already live on Thanksgiving Day. Stores are closed on Thanksgiving and get the deals at 6 a.m. local time on 27 November.
• Best Buy: its 10 days of Black Friday doorbusters and deals start on 19 November. Stores are closed on Thanksgiving, but the deals continue in the Best Buy app and on BestBuy.com.
• Costco: warehouses are closed on Thursday 26 November, but Costco's website lists Holiday Savings valid on 26 November, some of them marked online only.
• Target and Amazon: neither had published Thanksgiving Day plans by 31 October. Amazon has confirmed Black Friday on 27 November but not its event dates.

Each store's 2026 dates are in our guide to when Black Friday starts at each store, and live deals are on our Black Friday deals page.

Shopping online on Thanksgiving: what to check

• The time zone. Kohl's starts at 12:01 a.m. CT, which is 1:01 a.m. ET and 10:01 p.m. PT on Wednesday 25 November. Walmart's events start at 12:01 a.m. ET.
• Online and store prices can differ. Costco says the prices on its savings pages are warehouse prices and may vary online. Check the price in your cart before you pay.
• Pickup waits for the store. With stores closed on Thursday, a pickup order placed on Thanksgiving can only be collected once your store reopens on Friday.
• Member early access. Walmart+ members get Walmart's hot Deal drops at 12:01 a.m. ET on 23 November, and anything left opens to everyone at 12:01 a.m. ET on 24 November.
• Price rules change in Black Friday week. Best Buy does not match competitors' prices on items sold from 19 to 30 November, and Walmart stores do not match Walmart.com's Black Friday deals. Our guide Are Black Friday deals real? shows how to judge a sale price.

After Thanksgiving: where the deals go next

Black Friday is Friday 27 November, when Kohl's stores open at 5 a.m. and Walmart's at 6 a.m. local time. Saturday 28 November is the day of Kohl's new Sephora at Kohl's giveaway. Cyber Monday is Monday 30 November: Kohl's Cyber Deals run on 29 and 30 November, Walmart's Cyber Monday event runs online from 30 November to 2 December, and Best Buy's Cyber Week Deals run from 1 to 6 December. Travel Tuesday follows on 1 December. Cyber Monday offers are on our Cyber Monday deals page.

How we check this page

Every meal deal and Thanksgiving Day fact on this page comes from the store's own newsroom or website: Walmart's releases of 7, 26 and 28 October, Target's release of 22 October, ALDI's release of 14 October, Sam's Club's release of 15 October, Lidl US's Thanksgiving release, Costco's Thanksgiving savings page, Kohl's release of 30 October and Best Buy's holiday calendar. We read them on 31 October 2026, mostly from our US server. Grocery prices can differ by region, so we quote each store's own price and terms. We will add other stores' Thanksgiving Day deals as they publish them in November. All our Black Friday guides are in the Black Friday hub. This guide is written by the SavingArena Editorial Team.
