Walmart Black Friday 2026: Dates, Times and Walmart+ Access

Walmart Black Friday 2026 at a glance

Walmart Black Friday 2026 comes as three events. Walmart announced them on 26 October: Early Black Friday Deals from 12 to 15 November, Black Friday Deals from 23 to 29 November, and Cyber Monday from 30 November to 2 December. Each event starts on Walmart.com at 12:01 a.m. ET, Walmart+ members get first go at the "hot Deal drops", and Walmart stores are closed on Thanksgiving.

Walmart+ early access: what members get

Walmart+ is Walmart's paid membership, and this season it brings two kinds of head start.

• Hot Deal drops, a day early. At the start of both the Early Black Friday and Black Friday events, Walmart+ members can buy the "hot Deal drop" items from 12:01 a.m. ET. Whatever is left opens to all customers 24 hours later. Walmart says these include some of the season's most wanted toys and gifts.
• Member-only online deals for 24 hours. During both events, select online-only deals are kept for Walmart+ members for the first 24 hours, while supplies last.

You do not need Walmart+ for most Walmart Black Friday deals: everything else is open to all shoppers from the start, and the hot Deal drops that do not sell out open to everyone a day later. Walmart has not announced any member window for its Cyber Monday event.

New this season, Walmart sells Walmart+ and Sam's Club Plus together for $120 a year. Walmart's notes say it auto-renews and terms apply, and that free delivery on scheduled Walmart deliveries needs a $35 order. Walmart's return policy allows a refund of a Walmart+ membership within 90 days only if it has not been used or activated.

Online first, then stores: start times

The most common mix-up about Walmart's Black Friday is when it reaches stores.

• Early Black Friday Deals start online and in stores on the same day, 12 November: 12:01 a.m. ET on Walmart.com and 6 a.m. local time in stores.
• Black Friday Deals start online on Monday 23 November at 12:01 a.m. ET, but reach stores only on Friday 27 November at 6 a.m. local time. For four days, from Monday to Thursday, the Black Friday Deals are online only.
• Cyber Monday starts on Walmart.com at 12:01 a.m. ET on 30 November. Walmart has not announced a store event for it.

Note the time zones: online starts are at 12:01 a.m. Eastern, which is 9:01 p.m. the evening before on the Pacific coast, while store starts are at 6 a.m. in your own time zone.

Is Walmart open on Thanksgiving? Black Friday store hours

No. Walmart said on 7 October 2026 that its stores "will be closed again on Thanksgiving and Christmas this year". Thanksgiving is Thursday 26 November.

On Black Friday, Friday 27 November, the in-store Black Friday Deals start at 6 a.m. local time. Walmart has not published a Black Friday closing time, and some websites print other opening times for Walmart that do not match Walmart's own release. Your store's hours are on its page on Walmart.com and in the Walmart app.

Walmart's Black Friday deals and the ad

Walmart had not posted its 2026 Black Friday deal list or ad when we checked on 31 October. What it has said about this season's range:

• thousands of gifts under $20;
• a Top Toys list with 25 toys under $25;
• fashion, beauty and home gifts at Walmart prices.

Walmart says the three events cover thousands of items across top brands, trending gifts and holiday basics. We will add the real deals, with their dates, once Walmart publishes them ahead of the 12 November event. Does Walmart price match Black Friday deals?

Mostly no. Walmart's price match policy (updated 8 June 2023) works differently in stores and online.

• In a Walmart US store: Walmart matches the price of the identical item on Walmart.com, if it is in stock there when you ask at checkout. But it does not match Walmart.com prices on special events, which the policy names as "clearance, Rollback, Black Friday or Cyber Monday deals, or other limited-time promotions".
• Competitors: Walmart stores do not match other retailers' online or in-store prices, or prices from other Walmart stores.
• On Walmart.com: no price matching at all, including when the price of something you already bought online drops later.

So if a Black Friday deal is online only and your store is still charging the normal price, Walmart's policy does not require the store to match it. Buy it online, or wait for the deal to reach stores on 27 November.

Returning Walmart Black Friday purchases

Walmart's standard return window is 90 days, but its Extended Holiday Returns run longer: most items bought from 1 October to 31 December can be returned until 31 January. Walmart gives these as examples of exceptions: wireless phones, protection plans, major appliances, Dyson products, and select seasonal and luxury goods. Some products also have shorter windows all year:

Two practical points. Items in consumer electronics bundles must be returned together, and downloadable software and video games cannot be returned. Major appliances cannot go back to a store: you start the return in the Walmart app or on Walmart.com, and a carrier collects them.

Walmart Cyber Monday 2026

Walmart's Cyber Monday event runs from Monday 30 November to Wednesday 2 December, starting on Walmart.com at 12:01 a.m. ET. Walmart has not announced a Walmart+ head start or a store event for it, and the Black Friday price match rule above also names Cyber Monday deals.

We read Walmart's own pages from a US server on 31 October 2026: the release "Walmart Unwraps Three Major Holiday Shopping Events" (26 October 2026) and the release of 7 October 2026 on store closures, both on Walmart's corporate newsroom, and Walmart's policies page for the price match and return rules. We did not take dates, times or prices from other websites.
