Free, paid or physical: which pack fits
A Halloween activity pack can be a stack of free printables, a paid download or a box of craft materials that arrives by post. Which one fits depends on how many children you have, whether you print at home and whether it is for a family or a classroom. We read the sources below on 16 October 2026.
| Type | Example | Cost | Good for | Watch out for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free printables | Crayola Halloween coloring pages and crafts | Free | Home and classroom, any group size | You print and supply the materials |
| Paid download | Halloween Activity Pack | $27 | One family, screens plus print | Licensed for home use only |
| Physical craft kits | Discount School Supply class kits | $12.99 to $39.99 a kit | A class or a party of 6 to 10 children | Delivery time and small parts |
Free Crayola printables
Crayola no longer sells online, but its site keeps a large free Halloween section that it describes as printable coloring pages for kids and classrooms. The coloring pages can be filtered by type, including bingo, color by number, DIY games, mazes and word games, with titles such as a spiderweb maze, a witch and her cauldron and a floral sugar skull. Its free craft ideas include DIY Halloween magnets, a Halloween color match game, decoupage ghosts, a popsicle stick monster, a paper skeleton, a milk carton Halloween lantern and a no-sew bird wings costume. For the materials, see our DIY supplies guide.
The $27 Halloween Activity Pack and its home-use license
Halloween Activity Pack sells one digital bundle for $27, downloaded straight after payment as PDF, video and audio files. According to its site it contains:
- Two stories (Whispering Shadows and a funny Pumpkin Patch Prankster) as text, audio and video.
- Two Halloween sing-along raps, one a less scary version for little ones.
- Halloween activities PDFs with 10 activities, 10 coloring pages, 10 crafts, 10 songs and 13 recipes.
- Puzzles with answers: mazes, word searches, crosswords, a word scramble and a Halloween sudoku, plus jokes and craft tips.
Two things to know before you buy. Its terms license the files for personal, non-commercial home use only, so it is not meant for printing a class set. And the sale is handled by ClickBank, which appears on your card statement; the site promises a full refund if you are not satisfied but does not state a time limit in its text. No age range is given.
Craft kits for a class or party
Discount School Supply, a classroom supplier, listed 138 Halloween items on 16 October, mostly Colorations craft kits:
- Spooky Roll Friends Craft Kit: $12.99.
- Spook-tacular Fun Mini Totes or Spooky Stick Faces Craft Kit: $19.99 each.
- Pumpkin Patch Pop-Ups, Halloween Photo Frames or Spooky Glow Jars Craft Kit: $24.99 each.
- Monstrous Monster-Making Craft Kit, 12 pieces: $27.99.
- Halloween Haunted House Craft Kit, makes 6 crafts: $36.99, about $6.17 a child.
- Halloween Spooky Stargazer Craft Kit, makes 10 crafts: $39.99, about $4.00 a child.
- Halloween Foam Shapes, 300 pieces: $13.29 instead of $18.99.
The per-child figures are our arithmetic from the number of crafts each kit says it makes. Most kits carry the store's warning: choking hazard, small parts, not for children under 3. Standard shipping is free on orders over $99 with code SHIP99; otherwise it costs 15% of the order with a $6.95 minimum. Standard orders are packed within 3 business days and most arrive within 7, but the store asks you to allow up to 10, so for a party on 30 or 31 October order by about 19 October or pay for Priority (3 business days).
Party games that need little more than a printer
For a party or classroom, the cheapest games are the printable ones: Crayola's Halloween bingo, mazes and word games, and its Halloween color match game, can be printed in any number. Craft kits double as a party activity, since each child takes their craft home. For tableware, treat bags and the cost per guest of a full party, see our party supplies guide; for non-candy treats and candy, our candy deals guide; and for decorating the room, our decoration deals guide.
Printing for a classroom: license terms compared
- Crayola: presents its free printables for kids and classrooms.
- Halloween Activity Pack: personal, non-commercial home use only; no redistribution.
- Teacher packs from other sites: many are free only with a subscription or an email sign-up, and their terms differ, so read the license line on the download page before printing copies for a class.
Download safely
Searches for free Halloween printables return many copies on unrelated websites, such as university or software subdomains, that have nothing to do with children's activities. Download only from the original publisher's own site, avoid pages that ask you to install anything, and never enter card details to get something described as free.
All our Halloween guides are in the Halloween deals hub, children's costumes are in our kids costume deals, and current codes are on our Halloween sale page.
How we checked
We read Crayola's Halloween printables and crafts pages, halloweenactivitypack.com and its terms, and Discount School Supply's Halloween, shipping and returns pages on 16 October 2026. Per-child costs and order dates are our own arithmetic from those pages. We did not buy or test these packs or kits. This guide is written by the SavingArena Editorial Team.
