Made-to-order cosplay or a costume in stock?
Many cosplay shops make a costume after you order it, so their delivery time is processing time plus shipping time. Costume stores such as HalloweenCostumes.com ship licensed anime and game costumes that are already made. With Halloween on Saturday 31 October 2026, that difference decides whether a cosplay deal is worth taking. We read RoleCosplay's pages and the anime section of HalloweenCostumes.com on 15 October.
Will it arrive by 31 October?
RoleCosplay gives these times: Ready to Ship items dispatch within 48 hours; other costumes take typically 5 to 10 business days to make (its shipping policy also says 7 to 12 days, and its FAQ 3 to 10 business days); Standard shipping takes 5 to 10 business days and Express 2 to 3. Using those figures, this is our own arithmetic for an order placed on Friday 16 October:
| What you order | RoleCosplay's times | Arrives about |
|---|---|---|
| Ready to Ship, Express | Dispatch within 48 hours, then 2 to 3 business days | 21 to 22 October |
| Ready to Ship, Standard | Dispatch within 48 hours, then 5 to 10 business days | 26 October to 2 November |
| Made to order, Express | 5 to 10 business days, then 2 to 3 | 27 October to 4 November |
| Made to order, Standard | 5 to 10 business days, then 5 to 10 | 30 October to 13 November |
Each day you wait moves these dates by about a day, and customs checks or the holiday delays RoleCosplay warns about come on top. Its site does not say where orders ship from; its support hours are given in GMT+8.
RoleCosplay's Halloween sale
RoleCosplay's banner reads "Halloween Sale: 20% OFF Sitewide" with the code ROLECOS20, and no end date is shown. Its Halloween Costume collection had 44 costumes on 15 October, such as a Ready to Ship Valorant Neon outfit at $79.99 (was $89.99), a Genshin Impact Kazuha costume at $52.90 (was $99.19), a last-batch Genshin Scaramouche Wanderer at $60.00 (was $93.09) and a Dark Knight Joker at $64.00. Standard shipping is free on orders over $299 in one checkout; otherwise the cost depends on weight and address and appears at checkout. Express is not offered for some items, such as oversized props, or to PO boxes and APO, FPO or DPO addresses.
To use the timing above, look for items titled "Ready To Ship" and choose Express at checkout. A 20% code on a costume that arrives in November does not help on 31 October.
Anime costumes with US delivery dates
HalloweenCostumes.com lists 330 anime and cosplay costumes. Examples on 15 October: a men's Attack on Titan uniform at $39.99 (was $59.99), a men's Sailor Moon Tuxedo Mask from $49.99 (was $79.99), an adult Super Saiyan Goku from $44.99 (was $59.99), a men's Fullmetal Alchemist Edward at $24.99 (was $29.99) and a kids' Naruto from $39.99 in select sizes. For US delivery by Friday 30 October it lists 22 October as the last order day for Standard shipping and 29 October for Premium.
HalloweenCostumes.com gives 15% off a first order after an email or text sign-up, and $10 off orders of $50 or more for students and military families; one offer applies per order.
Sizing: Asian sizes run small
RoleCosplay says most of its costumes use Asian sizing, which runs one to two sizes smaller than US, EU or AU sizes. It asks for bust, waist, hip and shoulder measurements and suggests the bigger size when you are between two. Measure yourself rather than ordering your usual US size.
Returns and cancellations
- RoleCosplay: unused and unworn items within 7 days of delivery, after emailing first; clearance items and lucky bags cannot be refunded; you pay return shipping, and customs on returns that are not for a quality problem. Cancelling within 24 hours gets a full refund; after 24 hours and before shipping, a 5% fee applies.
- HalloweenCostumes.com: new, unused items within 30 days of the order, with an 18% fee on refunds or no fee if you take store credit.
A made-to-order costume is made after you pay, so if the delivery date worries you, cancel within the first 24 hours.
Wigs and the rest of the look
RoleCosplay sells wigs and shoes too: in-stock wigs dispatch within 48 hours and other wigs take 3 to 5 business days, while its shoes are all made to order in 5 to 10 business days. For costumes from US stores, see our adult and kids Halloween costume guides, and for the fastest delivery options, the last-minute Halloween costume guide.
How we checked this page
Prices, counts and rules come from the stores' own websites, read on 15 October 2026: RoleCosplay's home page, Halloween collection, product pages, shipping, FAQ and return pages, and HalloweenCostumes.com's anime section, delivery dates and returns (US view). Prices change daily and many reductions apply to some sizes only, so check the price at checkout. We did not test or buy these products. More offers are on our Halloween deals page and in the Halloween deals hub. This page is maintained by the SavingArena Editorial Team.
