Sale and Clearance at a glance
HalloweenCostumes.com has two discount sections, and they work differently. We read both from our US server on 15 October 2026 and checked the first 60 items in each, sorted by popularity.
| Sale | Clearance | |
|---|---|---|
| Items | 7,297 | 963 |
| Typical discount on page one | 20% (range 10% to 77%) | 73% (range 50% to 93%) |
| Under $10 on page one | 1 of 60 | 30 of 60 |
| Reduced in select sizes only | 21 of 60 | 14 of 60 |
| Example | Women's Flintstones Wilma dress $24.99, was $29.99 | Child Boba Fett costume $4.99, was $44.99 |
The banner's "save up to 90% on select merchandise" describes the best items, which sit mostly in Clearance. In the Sale section the most common label on page one was 25%.
What "Select Sizes on Sale" means
About a third of the Sale items on page one were reduced in some sizes only. The listing then shows a price range: a toddler Ghost Spider costume, for example, showed an original price of $39.99 and sizes from $29.99 to $69.99, so a larger size can cost more than the original price shown. Choose your size on the product page before you compare prices.
Clearance: cheap, and maybe final
Clearance on page one was mostly kids' costumes and older licensed lines, such as a child Boba Fett costume at $4.99 (was $44.99), a boys' DC Black Adam deluxe costume at $2.99 (was $39.99), a kids' TMNT costume at $14.99 (was $29.99), a girls' Mirabel dress at $9.99 (was $29.99) and an infant Jurassic World T-Rex hatchling costume at $3.99 (was $34.99). The count changes daily as stock sells. Discontinued items cannot be returned, and the store says it tells you at checkout when an item is discontinued.
One offer per order: which saves more
HalloweenCostumes.com says it does not use coupon codes: a discount switches on when you click its link, only one can be used per purchase, and the last one you clicked applies. Its current offers are 15% off a first order after an email or text sign-up, $10 off orders of $50 or more for students or for military members and families, and a 10% sign-up bonus in Monster Rewards, its free points programme that gives 1 point per $1.
- Between $50.00 and $66.66 the $10 off is bigger; from $66.67 the 15% is bigger.
- The 10% Monster Rewards bonus beats $10 off only above $100, and it is always smaller than 15%.
That is our arithmetic, not the store's. The site does not say whether these offers apply on top of Sale or Clearance prices, so check the basket total before you pay.
Price match: the terms
- The exact item must be in stock and new at another US website; shipping and tax are counted, the other site's promo codes are not.
- Auction sites such as eBay do not count; Amazon does for the exact item.
- It cannot be combined with other discounts, and you must ask at the time of purchase, not afterwards, by contacting customer service with a link.
Order by and returns for sale buys
For US delivery by Friday 30 October, HalloweenCostumes.com lists these last order days: Standard 22 October, Priority 23 October, Express Saver 27 October, Express 28 October and Premium 29 October. Saturday 31 October delivery is offered only for orders placed on 30 October. Returns must be postmarked within 30 days of the order date; refunds carry an 18% restocking fee and shipping is not refunded, while store credit has no fee. Wigs, cosmetics and sealed items must be unopened. Other stores' deadlines are in our last-minute Halloween guide.
FUN.com, the sister site
A 2022 press release on HalloweenCostumes.com describes FUN.com as the company that also owns HalloweenCostumes.com. FUN.com runs its own Halloween sale (1,326 items, 160 on clearance and 8 Doorbusters when we read it) with clearance "up to 95%", and gives 10% off a first order for an email sign-up instead of 15%. Price match, the link-based offers and the 30-day returns with an 18% fee work the same way, and for couples, pet and animatronic ranges FUN.com links to HalloweenCostumes.com.
Will it be cheaper after Halloween?
Neither HalloweenCostumes.com nor FUN.com had announced an after-Halloween sale on 15 October 2026. The Clearance section is open now and changes as stock sells, but no later sale date or percentage is published. Some coupon sites list November offers for the store; we found nothing on its own site to support them, so we do not repeat them. If you need a costume for 31 October, the delivery dates above matter more than a possible later discount.
Prices by category are in our kids, adult and pet costume guides, and decorations on sale in our decoration deals guide.
How we checked this page
Prices, counts and rules come from the stores' own websites, read on 15 October 2026: HalloweenCostumes.com's Sale and Clearance sections, coupons, Monster Rewards, help desk, price match, delivery dates and returns pages (US view, read from our US server), and FUN.com's sale and terms. Prices change daily and many reductions apply to some sizes only, so check the price at checkout. We did not test or buy these products. More offers are on our Halloween deals page and in the Halloween deals hub. This page is maintained by the SavingArena Editorial Team.
