Staples Black Friday 2026: Ad, Dates, Deals and Returns

Staples Black Friday 2026 at a glance

Staples Black Friday 2026 deals arrive on Sunday 22 November, with early access to Black Friday prices from Sunday 15 November and Cyber Week deals from 29 November to 5 December. Staples published that schedule in its own holiday release on 2 November 2026, together with sample prices for each phase. Weekly Dash deals are already running until 14 November, and some laptop offers last all month.

We read the release on 6 November on a Business Wire distribution page that carries Staples' full text, because staples.com and businesswire.com both refused our tools. The table puts this year's dates next to last year's, so you can see what changed.

When does the Staples Black Friday sale start?

The short answer is 22 November, with early access from 15 November. Staples splits its holiday season into four phases this year:

• Now to Saturday 14 November: Weekly Dash. A new set of short deals each week. Some offers in the release run "all month long", including up to 50% off select laptops, while supplies last.
• From Sunday 15 November: early access. Staples says shoppers "can get early access to Black Friday deals before they officially kick off".
• From Sunday 22 November: Black Friday deals. The release says they "arrive November 22", across tech, custom print and more. It gives no end date for this phase, so we do not guess one.
• Sunday 29 November to Saturday 5 December: Cyber Week. Several Cyber Week offers have shorter windows of their own, listed further down.

Two things to keep in mind. First, many sample deals carry their own dates, such as "11/15 to 11/21 only", so an offer you see in one week may be gone the next. Second, Staples' terms say prices and availability can change, the range varies between stores and online, and deals last while supplies last. Last year's sale started a day later, on 23 November 2025, and ran to 6 December 2025 with a daily Deal of the Day; that daily deal is not mentioned in the 2026 release.

The Staples Black Friday ad

People search for "Staples Black Friday ad" every year. For 2026, the official list of deals is the 2 November release itself, plus whatever Staples shows on staples.com and in its app. We did not find a printed 2026 Black Friday ad from Staples, and its weekly ad pages refused our tools, so we cannot tell you what a printed ad contains.

Be careful with pages titled "Staples Black Friday Ad 2026" that appeared before November. When we checked them on 1 November, two ad sites listed an 11-inch iPad at $279 and an Emerge Vomax gaming chair at $169.99 as 2026 deals. Those are the prices from Staples' 2025 Black Friday release. The 2026 sample deals are the ones in the sections below. Staples laptop, iPad and tech deals

Staples says it has its lowest prices of the season on Apple iPad and AirPods in this event. These are the tech offers named in the release, with Staples' own comparison values in brackets. Where an offer is in store only, we say so.

iPad and AirPods: read the conditions

The two Apple offers have conditions that are easy to miss. The AirPods Pro price of $149 needs a spend of $150 or more and runs only from 15 to 21 November. The $70 off select iPad models is valid in store only, so you will not see it in an online basket. The release does not say which iPad models are included; check the shelf label or ask in store. A "comp. value" is Staples' comparison price, not necessarily what the item sold for last week, so compare the same model elsewhere before you buy. Printers, ink and paper

For Black Friday, Staples lists the HP DeskJet 2923 at $39.99 ($89.99 comp. value) and the Epson EcoTank Photo ET-8550 all-in-one wireless tank printer at $499.99 ($749.99 comp. value), both in store and online. Ink, toner and paper offers come later, in Cyber Week, so if you need supplies rather than a new printer, it can pay to wait until 29 November.

Office chairs and gaming chairs

This year's chair offers in the release are two Sharper Image chairs that Staples calls new and exclusive:

• Sharper Image SGX350 gaming chair, $259.99 ($449.99 comp. value), in the early access phase from 15 November, in store and online.
• Sharper Image S-650 heated massage chair, $259.99 ($449.99 comp. value), from the Black Friday phase on 22 November, in store and online.

The release does not list other office chair prices. Last year Staples advertised "up to 50%" off a wide range of home and office seating (2025 release); it has not repeated that line for 2026 so far. Chairs count as furniture, which matters for returns: see the returns section below before you assemble one.

Custom print, gifts and the Weekly Dash

A big part of the Staples sale is printing, not tech. From the release:

• 75% off custom mugs, 8 to 14 November only, in store and online (a Weekly Dash deal).
• 60% off holiday print products: custom cards, invites, wrapping paper, photo gifts and labels, from the Black Friday phase, in store and online.
• 25% back in points on custom print orders of $100 or more, also in the Black Friday phase.

The release also notes that Staples has doubled its toy range for the holidays, with names such as Pokemon, LEGO, NeeDoh and Hasbro, but it gives no toy prices.

Easy Rewards, coupons and the price match guarantee

Staples does not list a Black Friday coupon code in its release. The savings it describes come from three places:

• Easy Rewards. Members earn points and get member-only savings. Joining is free online, in the Staples app or in store (Staples, 23 September 2026). Several 2026 deals pay out as points rather than a lower price, such as 25% back on $100+ print orders and 40% back on ink and printers in Cyber Week. Points are not earned on everything: Staples' footnote excludes gift cards, postage stamps, clearance items, taxes, shipping fees, protection plans and large-quantity orders, among others.
• Price Match Guarantee, in store and online, according to the release. Its full terms page did not open for us, so we cannot say which competitors or deal types it covers. • Financing "as low as 0% APR" on select plans, subject to credit approval.

Delivery terms also count toward the real price. Staples offers free next-day delivery on qualifying orders to over 98% of the US if you order by 3 pm local time (weekends and holidays excluded), free delivery on orders over $35, and free in-store pickup that is usually ready in 30 minutes, subject to store availability.

We do not link to a Staples coupon page from this guide. If you see a Staples code elsewhere, check its end date and whether it excludes sale items before you count on it.

Holiday returns on Staples Black Friday buys

This is the part most shoppers skip, and it is worth reading. From the 2026 release:

• Items bought from 15 November to 24 December 2026 can be returned until Saturday 9 January 2027.
• Electronics and furniture normally have a 14-day return window at Staples. Bought in the same 15 November to 24 December period, they can also go back until 9 January 2027, "or as regular policy allows (whichever is later)".
• Purchases on or after 26 December 2026 follow Staples' standard return policy.
• Returns with a gift receipt are limited to in-store credit only, and the receipt barcode must be intact and readable.

Note the start date. The extended window begins on 15 November, the first day of early access. A laptop or chair bought on 14 November falls under the normal 14-day rule. Last year the window ran for purchases from 17 November to 24 December 2025, with returns by 10 January 2026.

Is Staples open on Thanksgiving?

No. Staples says all its locations will be closed on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday 26 November 2026, while staples.com and the Staples app stay available 24/7 "with thousands of deals". Staples Cyber Monday and Cyber Week

Staples runs a whole Cyber Week, from Sunday 29 November to Saturday 5 December, with what it calls its lowest price of the season on printer paper. The sample offers have short windows inside that week:

Staples.ca in Canada

The release comes from Staples U.S. Retail and covers US stores, staples.com and the US app. Staples.ca in Canada runs its own offers, so none of the prices, dates or return rules above apply there.

Every date, price and rule above comes from Staples' own words: its holiday release of 2 November 2026 (read on 6 November 2026 on a FinancialContent copy of the Business Wire release), its Easy Deal Days release of 23 September 2026 (for Easy Rewards, read 6 November), and its 2025 Black Friday release of 17 November 2025 (for the 2025 column, read 1 November). staples.com and businesswire.com answered with "forbidden" to our tools, and we did not try to get around that, so anything that only appears on staples.com is left out. We did not test any product. We will re-read Staples' pages on 15 November, 22 November and 29 November and update this guide when the next phase starts.
