Black Friday UK 2026 at a glance
Black Friday UK 2026 falls on Friday 27 November, and Cyber Monday follows on Monday 30 November. Some UK retailers have started early. Currys' Black Friday Price Guarantee has covered tagged deals since 28 October, and Argos says its Black Friday deals are already live. Amazon UK had not published its 2026 dates when we checked on 1 November; last year it announced them on 13 November.
This guide sets out what each UK retailer has actually published, with the date we read it, the deals on our store pages that we matched against the brands' own sites, and the UK rules that apply to anything you buy in the sales. The dates that matter this season:
| Date | What happens | Source |
|---|---|---|
| 28 October to 24 November | Currys' price guarantee purchase window (register by 27 November) | curryspriceguarantee.co.uk |
| Friday 27 November | Black Friday | Calendar date; Argos' Black Friday page gives the same date |
| Monday 30 November | Cyber Monday, and St Andrew's Day, a bank holiday in Scotland | gov.uk bank holidays |
| Saturday 5 December | Small Business Saturday UK | smallbusinesssaturdayuk.com |
| Friday 25 December | Christmas Day | gov.uk bank holidays |
| Monday 28 December | Boxing Day bank holiday (substitute day, as 26 December is a Saturday) | gov.uk bank holidays |
For US and other dates, see when Black Friday 2026 starts. Offers from all the stores we cover are on our Black Friday deals page.
Which UK retailers have announced
Most of the big UK names had not published a full Black Friday schedule by 1 November. This table shows only what each retailer says on its own pages. Where a retailer gives nothing, we say so rather than guess.
| Retailer | What it has published | Read |
|---|---|---|
| Currys | Black Friday Price Guarantee on products with an eligible Black Friday deal tag: buy between 28 October and 24 November, register by 27 November, and if the price drops at Currys before 1 December it refunds the difference. Full detail in our Currys Black Friday guide. | Guarantee site, 1 Nov |
| Argos | "Black Friday 2026 deals are live", with more deals promised in the run-up. Badged products carry a Price Guarantee: if the price goes lower before Christmas, Argos gives a voucher for the difference (T&Cs apply). See our Argos Black Friday guide. | Argos Black Friday page, 1 Nov |
| Amazon UK | No 2026 dates. Its Black Friday page was still titled "Black Friday Week 2025". | amazon.co.uk, 1 Nov |
| John Lewis | No 2026 Black Friday dates on its Black Friday page, which links to its Price Promise. | johnlewis.com, 1 Nov |
| Debenhams | A "Black Friday Preview, Up to 75% Off" section in its menu, with no dates given. | debenhams.com, 1 Nov |
| Very, Boots, AO | Their Black Friday pages did not open for our research tools, so we cannot say what they have published. | 1 Nov |
Amazon UK: what happened in 2025
Several UK pages give "20 November to 1 December" as Amazon's Black Friday dates without saying which year. Those were the 2025 dates. Amazon UK announced its 2025 Black Friday Week on 13 November 2025, and the event ran for 12 days, from 20 November to 1 December 2025, so it took in Cyber Monday as well.
Amazon has not said whether 2026 will follow the same pattern. Until it publishes dates, treat any 2026 Amazon UK date you see elsewhere as a guess. We will add Amazon's dates to the table above when its UK press centre or Black Friday page shows them.
Checked UK Black Friday deals
These are Black Friday offers on our UK store pages that we matched against each brand's own UK website on 1 November 2026. None of them shows an end date, so check the brand's site before you rely on one.
VAX. The VAX UK site is running a Black Friday sale "with savings of over £200 across select products" in its floorcare range. Our VAX voucher codes page lists its other current offers.
Hoover. Hoover's UK site says "Black Friday is here", with deals on vacuum cleaners, washing machines and fridge freezers. It does not give amounts on its home page, so compare the model you want on our Hoover UK page and on Hoover's own product page.
Tesco Mobile. Tesco Mobile's Black Friday pay monthly deals include the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max at a £72 saving plus a £100 Tesco gift card on selected Clubcard Price deals, the Galaxy S26 FE at up to £396 off plus a £100 gift card, and the Pixel 11 at up to £432 off plus a £50 gift card. The gift card and the saving depend on the tariff you pick, so read the total cost of the contract. More on our Tesco Mobile page.
Lightning Fibre. Lightning Fibre has an "Early Access Black Friday" price of £19 a month for 6 months on its 1Gbps and 2.5Gbps plans, for new customers on a 24-month contract. Ask what you will pay from month 7, because that price covers most of the contract. Our Lightning Fibre page has its other plans.
Toolstation. Toolstation says its Black Friday 2026 deals "aren't live just yet" and tells shoppers to check back from Friday 27 November. Its current offers are on our Toolstation page.

Are UK Black Friday deals real?
Some are and some are not. A lower price than last week is not the same as a lower price than the product has sold for over the last few months, and the only way to know is to check. Our guide Are Black Friday deals real? shows how to read a "was" price and a price history.
UK shoppers also have a regulator watching prices more closely this year. Under the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024, the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) can now decide for itself whether consumer law has been broken, and it can fine a business up to 10% of its global turnover. On 18 November 2025 it opened its first cases under those powers, including into whether some homeware retailers' time-limited sales ended when they said they would. The CMA said it had reached no conclusions in those cases.
The same day, the CMA published its price transparency guidance (CMA209), with a short summary added on 7 January 2026. In plain terms, it says:
- The price you see should be the total price. Fees you cannot avoid, such as a mandatory delivery or booking fee, should normally be in the headline price, not added at checkout. Hiding them until later in the purchase is called drip pricing, and it is illegal.
- Optional extras can be shown separately. An optional charge such as next-day delivery must still be shown, but it does not have to be in the total.
- Contracts with a minimum term, such as broadband and phone deals, should show either the total price for the whole contract or the monthly price together with the number of months it applies.
Use those rules as a checklist. Compare deals on the total price including delivery. For a phone or broadband contract, multiply the monthly prices out over the full term before you compare. Be wary of countdown timers: the CMA's November 2025 announcement lists misleading countdown timers among the practices now banned.
Your rights on Black Friday buys
The UK government's guide to the law on returns and refunds is clear on the main point: customers "have exactly the same rights to refunds when they buy items in a sale as when they buy them at full price." A shop also cannot take your rights away, for example with a sign saying it does not give refunds. What the law gives you depends on how you buy.
| Situation | Your right under UK law |
|---|---|
| Bought online, by phone or by mail, and you changed your mind | Tell the seller within 14 days of receiving the item that you want to cancel, then you have another 14 days to send it back. You get a refund within 14 days of the seller receiving it, with standard delivery refunded. No reason is needed. |
| Bought in a shop, and you changed your mind | No legal right to a refund (for example, the wrong size or colour) unless you bought it without seeing it. Many shops offer a returns policy anyway; that is their own policy, so check its period. |
| The item is faulty, not as described or does not work | You are entitled to a full refund. If you return it within 6 months, the seller must repair or replace it unless it can prove the fault was not there when you bought it. You can claim for up to 6 years (5 in Scotland). |
| Personalised or made-to-order items, perishables, unwrapped CDs, DVDs and software, sealed hygiene items once opened | Refund only if faulty. |
Three points that catch people out at this time of year:
- Keep proof of purchase. A seller can ask for it. A receipt works, and so can a bank statement.
- Gifts. The law only requires a seller to accept returns from the person who bought the item. Gift receipts and extended Christmas returns are the retailer's own policies, so check their terms before you buy presents early.
- Warranties do not replace your rights. You have the same right to a free repair or replacement whether or not you have a warranty, so do not let a care plan sales pitch suggest otherwise.
UK Cyber Monday 2026
Cyber Monday 2026 is Monday 30 November. It is also St Andrew's Day, which is a bank holiday in Scotland this year, so some Scottish shoppers will have the day off. None of the UK retailer pages we could read on 1 November announced a separate Cyber Monday sale.
Two things to know if you shop that day. Currys' price guarantee covers purchases only up to 24 November, so a Cyber Monday purchase is outside it, although a price drop on Cyber Monday still counts for tagged items you bought and registered earlier. And Amazon UK's 2025 Black Friday Week ran up to 1 December 2025, the day after Cyber Monday; its 2026 dates are not out yet. We collect Cyber Monday offers on our Cyber Monday deals page.
Small Business Saturday UK
Small Business Saturday UK is on Saturday 5 December 2026. Its organisers say it "takes place on the first Saturday in December", that it is supported by American Express, and that it is in its thirteenth year in the UK. Their site describes the UK's 5.7 million small businesses and encourages people to shop with them on the day.
The US version is a week earlier, on Saturday 28 November, the day after Black Friday, so check which one a page means before you plan around it. On the UK day, small shops set their own offers; there is no national discount scheme.
How we check this page
The dates and rules on this page come from these sources, read on 1 November 2026: gov.uk's guide to accepting returns and giving refunds, gov.uk's bank holidays page, the CMA's CMA209 guidance page and summary, the CMA's press release of 18 November 2025, Amazon UK's Black Friday page, Currys' price guarantee site, Argos' Black Friday page, the John Lewis and Debenhams websites, smallbusinesssaturdayuk.com and the VAX, Hoover, Tesco Mobile, Lightning Fibre and Toolstation UK websites. The 2025 Amazon dates come from Amazon UK's own press release of 13 November 2025.
We will read the retailers' pages again on 9, 13, 20 and 24 November and add each retailer's dates as they are published. Our other guides are in the Black Friday hub. This guide is written by the SavingArena Editorial Team.
