Where Halloween makeup is cheapest now
We compared the costume makeup at three costume stores on 15 October 2026:

Party City's makeup is not on sale, it is simply low priced: the items tagged makeup and face paint ran from $1.99 to $31.99, most around $7.99, and only a few showed a reduced price. Its "up to 30% off" sale covers costumes, not makeup.
Makeup kits on clearance from $0.99
HalloweenCostumes.com's own Made By Us character kits were on clearance at $0.99 to $2.99 (were $5.99 to $9.99): Cat in the Hat, Werewolf, Frankenstein, Labyrinth Jareth and Creepy Doll at $0.99, Clown, Wicked Witch, Mermaid and Alien at $1.49, Lily Munster and Rotting Zombie at $1.99, and Cat at $2.99. Clearance items can be discontinued, and discontinued items cannot be returned. Licensed kits cost more, such as Disney Sally at $12.99 and Ursula at $15.99. At Party City a witch kit is $3.99, a deluxe zombie kit $4.99 and an 18-piece all-in-one kit $13.00; at Halloween Express a 12-colour kit with fake blood is $12.99.
Fake blood from $2.99
- Party City: fake blood $2.99, a 3 oz zombie blood spray $3.00, 6 blood capsules $3.00, a pint of fake blood from $5.00 and 16 oz of black zombie blood $6.99.
- Halloween Express: red blood spray $4.99, gel blood scab $6.99 and a fake blood and liquid latex duo $7.99.
- HalloweenCostumes.com: Fun World theatrical blood $9.99, a 13.5 fl oz vampire blood bottle $12.99 and 8 oz of Graftobian stage blood $24.99, plus a Graftobian blood drips stencil on sale at $1.99 (was $7.99).
Face paint: budget brands or Mehron
At Halloween Express, Mehron makeup started low: Paradise Pro AQ face and body paint from $5.57 (was $13.99; other shades and sizes up to $18.49), Starblend cake from $4.77, cheek cream from $3.17 and cream shadow liner from $2.07. At HalloweenCostumes.com a Mehron CreamBlend stick is $24.99 and its skeleton character kit $19.99. Budget options include Party City's cream makeup at $2.00 (glow-in-the-dark too) and liner sticks at $1.99, Fun World cream makeup at HalloweenCostumes.com for $5.99, and 5-colour horror makeup crayons at Halloween Express for $3.99.
Liquid latex, scars and prosthetics
- Party City: liquid latex 1 oz $3.99, spirit gum $3.99, scar makeup $5.00, Tinsley Transfers tattoos $7.99 and prosthetics $11.99 to $14.99.
- Halloween Express: 62 prosthetics and 41 special effects items, such as a gash prosthetic at $21.99, plus Mehron barrier spray at $12.99 and fixative sealer at $2.67.
- HalloweenCostumes.com: a latex witch nose $5.99, a Stapled and Stitched tattoo kit $12.99 and a Lip Tuck 3-D tattoo kit $19.99.
Glitter, face jewels, lashes and tattoos
Party City has 180 face jewels for $2.99, glitter palettes at $2.99, silver foil false eyelashes at $4.99 and glow-in-the-dark glitter lashes at $7.99. Halloween Express lists 176 tattoos and decals and 20 glitter, metallic and glow items, such as Mehron Paradise makeup glitter from $4.48 and glitter spray at $6.99. HalloweenCostumes.com's skull face temporary tattoo is $19.99.
Before you buy: makeup is usually non-returnable
- Halloween Express: cosmetics, eyelashes, prosthetics, fangs and fake teeth are never returnable.
- HalloweenCostumes.com: cosmetics, eyelashes and prosthetics only unopened, within 30 days, with an 18% fee on refunds; discontinued clearance items not at all.
- Party City: cosmetics only unopened, within 14 days of delivery, and Halloween items only up to 7 days before the holiday.
Some product pages describe items as non-toxic or water-soluble. Those are the sellers' words and we have not tested them, so read the label before you use makeup on skin, especially on children.
Delivery and pickup before Saturday 31 October
For US delivery by Friday 30 October, HalloweenCostumes.com lists Standard by 22 October and Premium by 29 October, and Party City lists Ground by 26 October and Next Day by 29 October, before 11am CDT. Halloween Express gives an estimate for your ZIP code on each product page, and HEX49 makes its Economy shipping free on orders of $49 or more. Why some beauty stores are not listed
We also checked several beauty shops that advertised Halloween offers. One shop's domain no longer exists, one shows a hosting page instead of a shop, and the others sell everyday makeup or nail polish with no Halloween range, or the Halloween code was missing from their own site.
